Came for the gameplay, wasn't expecting a story that absolutely smashes. This game is amazing. I think it's best experienced in a single sitting (if possible).

If Ghibli and Pokemon had a baby. I had a ton of fun with this game, just gushing with personality and a good romp from beginning to end. I like Ni No Kuni II, but I think this is the better rounded package IMHO.

I tried this game 3 different times based primarily on everyone's seeming orgasm around it. First time got through maybe 4 hours and got bored to the point where I was like "I'll come back to this." Second time died (or "won?") in like an hour and was like "WTF was that" and so restarted. Last time made it another few hours before my patience ran out. Maybe I'm too dumb or not neckbeard enough, but it didn't click for me.

You can choose vaginal styles in the character creator (you could also do this probably in the base game, but I learned starting a new file to play through for the expansion, so I think PL deserves the credit). I went for the dark haired "strip". 10/10

Alright, finally did it! Arguably my favorite Fromsoft game. You start out feeling like a soggy noodle, and end up being able to woop shinobi ass like none other. There's a reason folks say things like "best combat I've ever experienced", because it is. Game is hard (if you haven't heard) but fair, and weirdly almost gets easier the deeper you go due to powering up and just getting better at the mechanics. Everything about this game is amazing; artwork, design, boss fights, story, etc. It's just a fun world to run around and be in. Recommend 10/10. Ready for ng+!

Like the rest of the free speech sheeples, I got this to support the devs for standing their ground. Played through and beat it today, and while it was a pretty fun/interesting/enjoyable experience, to be honest I thought there would be a lot more juicy censor-worthy shenanigans, and finished the game almost a bit underwhelmed that it wasn't more edgy. Unless ng+ dramatically ups the stakes somehow, it's basically PG-13 at best. Not sure what everyone was up in a tizzy about.

Anyhoo, recommend if you're into more investigative / adventure-esque horror games.

Yay I did it, now I can finally add this accomplishment to my Linkedin profile. TBH I didn't learn how to parry until the final boss, only beat him when I took off all my armor danced around and parried him to death. Love this game.

One of the best and most original/creative games I've played in the last decade. Might not be everyone's cup of tea, but in terms of creativity, fun, and an amazing experience, in my book this sets the bar.
