Fun, short little demo where a couple of dumb lesbians throw magic at monsters and talk about their feelings. If you don't care much about combat, normal mode is fairly easy as long as you pay a bit of attention. It's short, it's sweet, and it's free, so give it a whirl if it appeals to you at all, because why not?

Early Access Review
Robust and easy to use toolkit for making custom maps. With the workshop, there's a lot of good art assets for whatever you're trying to make. Having it already properly scaled for roll20 grids is a lifesaver.

Game is neat enough, but keeps punishing me and stalling progress for the AI's stupidity.
Like farmers deciding to stay outside my walls after dark, then getting attacked and losing all their stuff that I have to re-buy. Or recruited people taking absolute ages to get back, so you can recruit someone in the middle of the day and they'll get attacked before they enter your settlement.

Solid co-op or singleplayer game, improves on the first in every way and you even get co-op versions of the first game's maps if you own it.
Best shooter/tower defense hybrid out there, to the point that it doesn't feel much like a tower defense.

Warning: I'm generally not a fan of MMORPGs, and only tried this because of friends, so expect bias.

Overall, not a lot to say. The quests are generic, kill 10 things, get 10 drops, go spend ages walking to this guy so you can turn around and walk back to me.
Combat is relatively boring, standard MMO fare with a ton of skill bars and button spamming.
Crafting is odd in that you need to buy stuff from vendors for nearly any recipe, and buying materials you can't or don't want to gather yourself is an ordeal if you don't have a friend with that profession who can help you.
Constantly tells you to buy things with the premium currency, many basic features are locked behind doing that or subscribing.
To be fair, the game lets you earn premium currency by playing but it's extremely slow and would take ages to get anything other than some basic, cheap stuff.

You might enjoy it if you're a huge LOTR fan and want to go through the story, other than that I can't recommend it.

I got this in a humble bundle and I'm kind of sad I gave these guys even a little bit of money.
After what happened with war of the roses and war of the vikings, I will NEVER willingly give these guys money again. It's because of you that I distrust most early access games so heavily now. You left your game broken, then tried to make another that didn't even leave EA before dying.

As for vermintide, meh. It's basically a warhammer reskin of left for dead, but has persistent equipment instead of generic stuff on each map. Not a whole lot to it, not a fan of left 4 dead so I didn't really like this either.

A broken game that was fun before everyone knew just how broken it was. Now once you get out of the newbie servers, you'll get demolished by everyone that knows how to exploit all the weirdness that dominates high level play.

First off: This game isn't necessarily bad, but it's not worth $15 in my opinion. It's far too short.
The art is nice, the soundtrack is good, and the boss battles are mostly good.
The exploration segments get tedious very quickly, it's mostly just walking around and only the later ones have any remote threat. I maybe died twice in all the exploration parts combined. You walk very slowly, you'll spend a decent chunk of time just holding your d-pad or movement keys in.
The boss battles are mostly good, but I kept running into frustrating situations where it felt like I couldn't do anything.
A lot of the bosses have moves that restrict your mobility, but then at the same time you have to dodge something and sometimes it seems totally impossible.
The abilities vary in utility widely. The decoy ability rarely feels useful outside of the level you get it in, and thor's hammer can be really hard to actually use because the small amount of damage it does by activating will remove the stun that you need to actually land the hammer.

Overall: Not a terrible game, but too short to be worth $15. I got it from a humble bundle so i'm not disappointed, so something like that or a sale wouldn't be bad.

Early Access Review
This game has been in early access for ages, and it's still a buggy mess that seems nowhere near complete.
They've added a good variety of new features since it came out, but almost nothing works properly.
The devs seem to break three more things with every thing they fix.

Avoid, maybe check back in a couple more years and see if they've fixed any of the multiple game breaking bugs or made online actually work decently.

Edit: Huh, It's been a couple years. They fixed things. Cool.
