First expansion
There were messages on the expansions saying I could not get back until complete. Is this true? If so any thoughts on what I should take with me?

If you mean Dead Money, it doesn't matter since it confiscates your entire inventory. Old World Blues gives you what you need, and Honest Hearts needs only your favourite weapon if you don't like using pistols.
