Complex world geometry, lot of things packed to small area. It should be not too laggy though, normally.

If you have problems for a long time there, it should be worth investigating. But getting a bit of stuttering from time to time as you move along is most likely just the random spawn appearing and the game assigning their AI packages. There are tons of spawn points, especially around the Sink and around the Forbidden Zone, but once the creatures are there, it should be okay.

Because the graphical engine is essentially something from around the year 2000 and the scripting engine (the one that defines the game rules) is even older. They are so old that they cannot utilise the advanced features most processors have to calculate in a more efficient way.

Nicely explained Talgaby ...I like your, your concise yet easily understood explanations. Would you perhaps be a technical writer? Like librarians and school teachers in the Primary Grades technical writers are incredibly undervalued in modern society.
