Got Lakes versus Nere's Inland Flooding and Climate Change
Intro

Some notes on how Got Lakes works with the Nere's Inland Flooding and Climate Change (NIFCC) mod.

This reference is for Got Lakes v34.0 and higher.

Compatibility

Got Lakes is compatible with the Dec 13, 2019 version of NIFCC.

Got Lakes is fully compatible with the following features from NIFCC:
  • Custom flood barrier costs.
  • Custom CO2 thresholds for raising global temperatures.

The following features of NIFCC will have no effect:
  • Custom marking of map plots as coastal lowlands.
  • Adjustment to the floodable tile percentage for marking map plots as coastal lowlands.

Overrides by Got Lakes

Got Lakes has its own coastal lowlands override which replaces that of NIFCC.

Additions:
  • Added a Coastal Lowlands option with the following choices: None, Standard, Inland (similar to NIFCC), Deluge, Cataclysm, Head for the Hills, Everywhere, Random Moderate (chooses between Standard, Inland and Deluge), and Random.

Adjustments:
  • Added responsiveness to GlobalParameters.CLIMATE_CHANGE_PERCENT_COASTAL_LOWLANDS.
  • While the Inland level of Coastal Lowlands has similar plot-scoring logic to NIFCC, the CLIMATE_CHANGE_PERCENT_COASTAL_LOWLANDS global parameter is still in effect resulting in fewer lowlands by default then what you would get with base game + NIFCC.

Map Script Overrides by NIFCC

Effectively none.
