Unforseen Problems
-Just a tip to anybody who has a lot of tamed animals:

This mod might make a mess of your kibble situation if you have animals separated (for instance, I keep my dogs in the house, all my pack/attack animals outside, and my exploding animals...even more outside than that). I want them eating out of their own kibble stockpiles so boomrats aren't mingling with my more valuable stock.

Before I had this mod, I set it up so that there will only be room for 2 stacks of kibble in each animal restricted area (so a total of 150), and had the priorities chained together so that there would always be enough for each zone. I'm sure you can understand my problem. Now my pawns just haul to a single stack in a 'critical' zone. I have not discovered a fix for this other than just making a ♥♥♥♥ ton of kibble, so until I can fill that order, I just have a single pile of kibble in a single zone, and hope nothing blows up.

Now, if there's something I'm missing, and this is an easy fix, please let me know, because I'd hate to blame a good mod for my own ineptitude. This is still a very useful mod, and I intend to keep using it. For instance, if you use mods to boost your hauling, they may not be compatible with mods that add shelving (Extended Storage, etc...). This mod frees up your storage without adding additional storage items that might conflict with other mods you might like.

***If you have your own story about little unexpected quirks from this mod, maybe post them below, so people new to this mod can plan a little better for how it might affect their gameplay.

I don't have an actual solution for your issue but I've had it myself before, and I just made a ♥♥♥♥-tonne of kibble too, but I have two more suggestions that might help you:

1) Create an area and invert it (in "manage areas") to allow everywhere, then disallow all of the kibble stockpiles except for one. Do one of these areas for each stockpile, then set each of your haulers to one of these areas. That way, each hauler can only access one of the stockpiles. Clumsy, but it might help. There is a mod to remove the limit on areas btw.

2) Download a mod called "WM Smarter Food Selection". It won't fix your problem as such, but you can use it to set food policies for animals. For example I set all my dogs to eat kibble, and all my muffaloo to eat grass. That way I need less kibble stockpiles.

Thanks for the reply, sir or madam! I do run SFS, but I had no idea about Area Unlocker, and that's great! I might do a weird zoning dance in the future, but...for now all my animals can just fight over the same stack, because I don't have time for that silliness!!!

Thanks for the tips! Glad to know there's not an easy fix I missed lol.

Another solution is to build a huge prison complex. There's a mod out there that allows prisoners to work - so you can put a kitchen in there and have them make kibble out of the other inmates.

And explode in the meantime :D

If you set a stack limit (assuming you have that mod) they shouldn't exceed it. They may exceed it by a small amount but they should respect. If you continue to produce kibble they should search for more stockpiles assuming they have access to them.

Only if there is nowhere to store it will they dump it on the floor; so try creating a stack limit for kibble, exclude everything but kibble from the stockpile, and then let them fill it up. It's messy but it's the best I can think of.

heyo i know this is really late buttttttt, you can set up the work orders to be 2 seperate orders, and they will take them to 2 seperate zones.

The directly downloaded mod from GitHub doesn't get detected on rimworld

I seem to be having an issue where separate pawns won't take meals from the same stack. If one pawn goes to get a fine meal, then the other will go to get nutrient paste or even raw food. Any idea what might be causing this?
