FU Quality of Life thread
Simple: What sorts of things would make life a bit easier / better in FU? Let's hear them ideas.

This is not a "cool stuff" thread, but rather , things to improve what exists.

No. You can get into it. You simply havent figured out how.

It is probably better to add a four digit power sensor, because sometime when peoeple are connecting everthing togehter and the sensor will only show exclamation marks.

there is one. Large Power Sensor. For exactly that reason.

but the large power sensor only shows up to 999 and I often reach 1000+ or even 2000(very rear)

well, thats your own issue then. That's far too much power running at once. Make more than one sensor if you must, but I see no need for more than 3 digits.

What about adding some new heavenly bodies? Like several kinds of nebulas, planetary rings, etc.
These bodies may beyond the reach but can polish the galaxy.:steamhappy:

I would like a kind of notebook where information is unlocked which blocks/liquids give you this or this stuff when you put it in an extractor or this spinny thing (forgot the name). You unlock the informations as you do it. I mean: "Oh what do I get from sand when I put it in the extractor?", now when you put sand in the extractor and get silicon it unlocks this information.
Sayter  [developer] Feb 4, 2018 @ 3:29pm
um....or you could just use the existing Lab Directory, which pretty much does that.

Found it yesterday. Didn't know it existet. Sorry!

I'd actually argue that they have a power requirement, as converting all your fuel into better fuel for free is kinda OP. At least have it need to run a little bit of the fuel it makes, yeah?

As for other precursor stuff like blocks and decor, maybe a wayto manufacture them? Not that I've had issues procuring the objects, just that going out and digging can be a chore when theoretically if I pick one up, scan it, or am utilizing other precursor tech, I should be able to make their lights and greebles and such.

I also noticed pyrkete blocks, LED screens, cable housing, metal pipes, and etc. don't have recipes either! If it wasn't obvious, I like to stay home and improve my base, so having these options available more freely would be great.
I agree. Maybe there could be a tenant tag for precursors?

there will never be a way to make precursor blocks. They are not intended to be craftable.

Many things dont have recipes. This is intended, so that people go out and find certain things.

That's, frankly, a bit ridiculous. I even suggested that they be craftable after being found. Having to go out and comb a planet for something like LED panels or pykrete is nothing more than a chore.

Right, well if I ever make a mod I know what I'm doing first.

Just because you can mine it doesnt mean you know how to make it, though. This is ancient stuff no one has seen in millions of years. Much like Elder blocks are not craftable, these are not.

It's not a bad excuse. You simply want something and aren't getting it.

I know what a radio is. If I pick one up, can I suddenly create one? Nope.

Sorry bud, but not everything in FU is craftable :) Besides, you yourself said you can procure the blocks without much issue.

On a slightly different note, are the descriptons for the Precursor blocks and decorative items going to be gone over again at some point? They seem to be sort of placeholder at the moment.
