🛈 FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
  • Question: Does this mod work in single player campaign or Theater of War missions?
  • Answer: Unfortunately this mod only works in custom games.
  • Question: How can I add add resources/popcap/commander abilities to other players or AIs?
  • Answer: Any action that targets a player (resources, population cap, speedups, commander abilities, and unit spawning) can be applied to a specific player by having a unit/building of that player selected while performing the action. Local player (you) is the default if nothing is selected.
  • Question: I'm having trouble with finding the mod in-game. What can I do?
  • Answer: Make sure you have subscribed to the mod. Then launch the game and select the "Manage" tab in COH2's in-game modding hub. Select "Win condition" as filter type and "Subscribed" as status filter and wait until you see CheatCommands Mod II there. It may take a while depending on how many other Workshop items you have subscribed.
  • Question: Why can't I save the game while using this mod?
  • Answer: Due to technical issues the game would crash when trying to save a game. In addition to that, a loaded savegame would not function correctly as the mod would completely break.

Do you still work on the Ule version of moddb or you abandoned completly?

Not completely. However my primary focus is on CCM II. If there's a mod-breaking bug on ULE I'll fix it.

I'm interested in getting this great looking mod to try-out commander abilities before making a purchase, and to have some fun which I would not normally be able to have.

My question is do I run the risk of getting an online ban from this mod if I only use it in custom AI-only matches?

I hope I don't sound too much like an idiot, i'm new to modding COH2 and don't know how these things work.

@Janne252 when I use a cheat, will all players be notified? if so, is there any way to prevent that?
I was wanting to invite a friend and prank him by spawning a lot of units, but it won't be much of a prank if he is notified everytime I do something... Can I make it so it only notifies me, or no notifications? What I mean by notification is when you use a cheat it shows it on the left.
Do all players need this mod installed for me to use it? And will the cheat menu show up in the top left for them? I do not want that.
Sorry for so many questions, I am just excited and need help.

@chickenlittle49: Unfortunately the intended use of the mod is not that. All players have access to the cheats and will see all the messages.

I'm guessing the AI can't use these cheats even if they have access to them, and can't use spawning officers either?

When you use the cheat to give you infinite resources, does the AI also get infinte resources?

The command is applied to the currenctly selected player (owner of the selected unit / building). (2nd question in the first post)

Save game crash is a known issue with no way around it, yet it doesn't happen in the first version.....

The way I implemented the GUI system in Cheat Commands II is the problem. It does not serialize properly to the savegame as I never tested it during the development. I tested some simple changes which unfortunately didn't work and decided just to disable the save game feature.

Certainly not impossible but not within the scope of this mod. Since you're using cheats already, you could agree with your friends not to build any vehicles.
