Hero: Void Demon
* New Hero: Balanar, Void Demon - Night Stalker's Daddy - Melee Strength Carry Nuker Disabler Initiator

Balanar's spells revolve around one thing: TIME. There were 2 versions of Void Demon - Warcraft III RoC (Reign of Chaos) DotA version and DotA Allstars version. WOTF version of Void Demon is a combination of both. Void Demon was removed from DotA Allstars in some 3.xx version or later in some 5.2x version (there is no reliable information when he was removed). One thing is certain, he was reworked into Night Stalker we know today (this was written during the DotA 6.85 patch).

Void Demon will be released in WOTF in patch 0.83. His spells will be:

1. Time Void - Active; Unit Target; Similar to (DotA 6.85) Night Stalker's Void. Slow duration (both at night and day) is 2/2.5/3/4 seconds. Damage: 90/160/255/335.

RoC DotA Void Demon had this spell under the name Black Hole. Unlike Enigma's ultimate, this spell was more like the Night Stalker's Void but weaker (lower damage, worse slow values).
Allstars DotA Void Demon had Time Void. Time Void was a buffed up version of the old spell Black Hole. It dealt 100/200/300 damage and slowed for 5 seconds at all levels (IMBA?). Sometimes instead of slowing this spell stunned the target for 5 seconds. Bug or intentional? We will never know.

2. Incapacitate - Active; Unit Target; Disarm's the target for 2/2.5/3/3.5 seconds.

RoC DotA Void Demon had this spell under the name Stop. Stop was literally stoppping an enemy unit from attacking but they could move and receive damage (not like today's Oracle's Fate's Edict which provides magic immunity). This spell was sometimes pretty surprising because right-clicking on an enemy Void Demon (while controlling a ranged hero/unit) made the hero/unit approach Void Demon instead of attacking him from afar.

3. Backtrack - Passive; Same as (Dota 6.85) Faceless Void's Backtrack.
Dodge Chance: 15/20/25/30%

RoC DotA Void Demon had this spell under the name Evasion. It is not clear if this spell provided regular evasion (evasion for attacks only) or evasion for every damage just like Backtrack.

4. Time Slow - Active; No Target; AoE; When activated, time is slowed for enemies around Void Demon. Enemies that go near Void Demon are slowed (their movement and attack speed is reduced). Basically, when activated Void Demon activates Degen aura (in a radius: 500) that slows enemies. Aura have duration! Aura is not constantly active! Aura doesn't work on magic immune units/heroes!
Movement Speed Slow: 10/18/26/34%
Attack Speed Slow: 80/100/120/140
Duration: 4/4.5/5/5.5 seconds.
Mana Cost: 130/140/150/160
Cooldown: 45/40/35/30 seconds.

Allstars DotA Void Demon had Degen Aura. That Degen Aura was pretty same as Omniknight's Degen Aura but it's radius was 600 - that's right, 600. Not 350 like Omniknight's version has. Even today Omniknight's aura is annoying because it goes through magic immunity. Imagine it then, the same, but larger radius. Degen Aura in combination with Time Void was truly IMBA.

5. Mass Haste - Ultimate; Active; No Target; Global; Combination of Troll Warlord's Battle Trance and Centaur Warrunner's Stampede without trample damage and slow. When activated, all allied heroes and Void Demon gain max movement speed, phased movement (no unit collision) and bonus attack speed.

Allstars DotA Void Demon had Mass Haste but it was a passive aura. It was another 600 AOE aura - an over-buffed Endurance aura. If you were on the enemy team, the moment you saw the haunting little Degen Aura icon on the bottom of your screen, it was already too late - a mass hasted Void demon with a lengthy stun was coming for your ancient. At last level of this aura: allies around him gained 85% movement speed increase and 65% attack speed increase. This was pretty powerful since the Void Demon could make any hero who walked like a snail run like an Olympic player. We could say that this aura gave Void Demon and nearby allies benefits similar to Night Stalker's Hunter in the Night except that it had no conditions and enabled Void Demon and his team to hunt Heroes relentlessly both day and night. So in combination with Time Void and Degen Aura, Void Demon was the ultimate speed ganking monster.

6. Time Stop - Ultimate; Active; No Target; AoE; When activated time is stopped for all units that was around Void Demon in that moment. Similar to Faceless Void's Chronosphere but without sphere and units that weren't around Void Demon upon activation can go freely near Void Demon.
Radius: 425
Duration: 3/4/5 seconds.

RoC DotA Void Demon had this spell under the name Void. This spell was probably the inspiration for making the hero Faceless Void and his Chronosphere, but who knows. Void (Time Stop) could stop any enemy unit within 5000 range for a short time of 8 (EIGHT!!!!) seconds. That is short? 5000 range was approximately the distance from the fountain to the middle of the river (map is bigger now). It could reach about both entrances of the Scourge (Dire) and the Sentinel (Radiant). This skill was the ultimate disable skill, it could stun all enemy units within the 5000 range radius and Void Demon also had time to run towards his target or even call for backup during that 8 seconds. Imba eh? It is unclear if this spell was stopping allies as well or not. If not, then it was super IMBA.

Rejected abilities:

Void Demon also had Quake ability. It was his third ability during his DotA Allstars days. It was a channeling pushing spell which was useful for destroying towers. It is unclear if this spell did any damage to other units beside buildings.

Changes:

On release:
- Time Stop duration increased from 3/4/5 to 4/4.5/5 seconds
- Time Stop radius increased from 425 to 500.
- Added Aghanim Scepter upgrade for Time Stop: increases duration to 4.5/5/6 seconds
- Time Stop doesn't affect fountains and other invulnerable units.
- Time Stop disables evasion.

Patch 0.84:
- Backtrack dodge chance reduced from 15/20/25/30% to 10/15/20/25%.
- Mass Haste cooldown increased from 80/65/50 to 80/70/60 seconds.
- Time Stop doesn't affect Astral Trekker if he has Time Constant learned.
- Time Stop debuff can be purged with super strong dispels.
