Refinery accepting some but not all ores, mod at top of list
Hello,

This mod is mostly working great, except that just a few ores are not being accepted by refinery

Mg, Co, Si, Ni, Fe, these are working...

Ag, Au, and Pt are not being accepted by refinery.

This mod is at the top of my mod list. I am also using a colorful icons mod (which I can live without). Also, all of the ores so far have been mined from surface boulders on Mars. I am also using the (Ashen?) Nebula skybox mod, Modular Encounters, AQD Quality of Life and Air Traffic.

Any help would be amazing!

Peace,

A

Hey there, I only check the main page and don't come into the discussions very often, is it still doing this? If so can you saw what the specific ores are? There are a few for each of the elements listed. Feel free to post the comment/question in the main page with a link to this discussion too as that usually attracts more attention quicker.

Hey just noticed i'm having this issue with the mod at the top of the list. I just started a world and I'm trying to put Pt in my smelter or refinery and nothing. Disabling the mod for now but wanted to see if there is anything else I could try.

Just a reminder that if there are any issues, please post in main thread, I almost never check discussion threads (heck I almost never check main thread) and I doubt very many people who might be able to help do either.

The following is a general statement:

If anyone is ever having troubles with vanilla ores not working in vanilla refineries, as this mod does not modify most vanilla ores (save stone and iron) nor modifies vanilla refineries, the problem reported above was almost certainly another mod.

If you suspect this specific mod is breaking SE core functionality, just test with vanilla SE. If it's not broken there, it's not responsible for breaking SE with other mods as it only adds items using very unique names that won't conflict with other mods. It does not take anything out.

It will however overwrite planet definitions and graphics so those can conflict. This is why a certain skybox is broken. (The fix would add 200MB to the size, that's too big.)

It is essential to always provide a list of the mods you're using (usually a screenshot does the trick because there's no easy way to dump it). I might be able to help you troubleshoot other peoples' mods or guess how to reorganize a list for things to work better.
