Phalanx formation is busted.
Completely immersion breaking in chokepoint battles such as bridges/cities. The AI will just be micro'ing the ♥♥♥♥ out of the unit to the point where they are just sprinting through the chokepoint in phalanx formation. If you don't immediately fall back your units they will get chewed up within 30 seconds (And I'm talking about a basic ♥♥♥♥♥ Massilian hoplite unit chewing through a legionary cohort) IN a chokepoint, where they cannot even properly form the phalanx. Balance this ♥♥♥♥ NOW. Half the map is Greek culture, and some brainiac had the idea to give even barbarians "phalanx" units.

TheRageMonkey, the guy you are talking about is CA, who never implemented soft collisions and never made proper pivot setting for phalanx targetting. Player can do the same with any units since infantry can't stop other infantry. Phalanx will just to try allign own center vs center of unit they are trying to fight with so if that "center" is not really where its supposed to be, stuff like that happen.

There is also a case where formation is disabled, player phalanx cant be used there but AI often glitches and tries to still turn it on, then it turns off, both several times within a second, which also gives them infinite charge bonus.
But again, that issue comes from how CA made the game, not with how it was made in the mod.
