In most cases, you need to inform which Mod you have enabled. This can help developers troubleshoot more quickly and effectively.

Muramasa's "weapon recharge on hit" that is right before trial 8 does not unlock nor does it have the "unlocked" or "you need to pass trial X to unlock" tooltip next to it. Running calamity with block's levelling and fargo's but fargo does not conflict with it (I had the same issue even without any of the fargo mods). Disabling and re-enabling overhaul did nothing.

Edit: Tested out with only Calamity (base) v2.0.3.11 and Calamity overhaul v0.3601 with new world and character and the same issue still applies on terraria 1.4.4.9 and tmod v2024.2.3.0

I think you're referring to that charging bar that appears when you hit enemies. Yes, before unlocking the finishing move, the charging bar doesn't serve any other purpose except slightly increasing weapon damage.

Even after getting the finishing move it still won't charge. Not a visual issue either.

That charge is obtained by using a skill with the right mouse button to hit enemies. You can check the introductory video on the mod's homepage.

I went online to test it myself, and I can confirm that if you play correctly, you won't encounter the situation you described. If you still have questions, you can try searching on YouTube for other content creators' gameplay or introductory videos about the mod, such as GitGudWO's videos.

Ok, I'd like to apologize for my misunderstanding. It seems that I understood "striking an enemy" and "hitting an enemy" would also mean with basic melee attacks when it's just the dragon strike. A little clarification on the unlock saying something like "When you hit an enemy *with rising dragon strike* you gain 1 recharge" would be incredibly helpful for that. This was mostly on me however and I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I'll put more effort in understanding things intrinsically before making another bug post here.

Muramasa's final perk didn't unlock after finishing trial 8 as it is said in the description of the weapon. Is there any other condition to activate it besides trial 8 or is it just a bug?

Edit: the perk actually unlocks after 9th trial, not 8th

@孤独的土拨鼠 hello bro. I believe that I've met a problem on using Murasama under the environment of overhaul mod. Different from the occasion when I only active the Calamity, Murasama cannot hits as usual. The graphic just work well but damage may lose after fast hitting my mouse over speed. The period last till executed the eater of the world. Is this a bug or just a normal set?
我是国人但我希望这个问题可以让遇到相同困惑的外国玩家看到。正如您所可能已经看见的,我在开荒过程中遇到了鬼妖村正骗伤的问题。如果您认为这是bug而非机制,希望可以早日发现问题并解决。反之也希望您可以回复我告诉各位玩家这确实是为了平衡而设置的dps锁。
frequency:3-4 hits per sec

however Murasama did have the feature that hitting fast may highly increase your dps, while such frequency(4hits per sec) is far lower than the extreme speed (the maximum frequency I met is about 20 hits in 3 secs, you could find the video at tuber 阿萨福勒武研所‘s video, https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1gK42117EX/?spm_id_from=333.999.0.0&vd_source=c643ad97bd6febc05f4676f25782e8b6 )before I download overhaul. So did you change the feature for purpose or coincidentally?

15. Shotguns and similar weapons' reloading can now be interrupted by the player pressing the trigger, allowing for firing immediately after loading a round. Interrupting reloading will extend the time required for the next reload, enabling players to load and fire one round at a time.
behavior toggleable via config?
my lazy ass doesn't want to do manual reloading :cubeglasses:

I understand that you want reloading to not be interrupted like before, right? For a fast-paced combat game like Terraria, it indeed makes sense to provide players with this option. I will consider your suggestion, and future updates will provide an interesting solution to this.

for some reason this mod makes thanatos projectiles invisible, i disabled this mod and they became visible again ,please fix

I have noticed this issue and will fix it soon
My Murasama's Damage Doesn't even Upgrade when I complete a trial.
