Space Engineers

Space Engineers

WeaponCore - 2.5
I can't remove WC and it's auto-installing into other saves. Fresh reinstall does nothing.
I installed this to do some testing in a private offline save, only to find that it deletes literally every non-WC weapon already placed in the world for no discernible reason. Funnily enough I didn't want it to do that so I removed both WC and the weapon pack that apparently needed it from the modlist, but after reloading the game it still acts as if WC is active and starts deleting non-WC weapons, even when reverting to a pre-WC save.

That would have been annoying enough if it weren't for the fact that after I deleted that world and started a completely new one with only the non-WC mods, the second that I spawned in one of my blueprint ships I got that infuriating pop-up that says the weapons are incompatible with weaponcore and will be deleted.

Weaponcore 2.5 is not in my modlist. It's not in my subscriptions section in-game or in my subscribed items list in the workshop. The same is all true of the weapon pack that caused this whole thing, which listed it as a hard requirement. They're both gone and none of the other mods I have installed use WC, but the game still acts like WC is installed.

I've been trying to figure this out all day and the game still acts like WC is installed even after a completely fresh reinstall, I'm now completely out of ideas.

that wc is removing nonwc stuff is explained inside the moddescription inside the "compatibility" section of it.

as for wc coming back up into the world even after removing it can have multiple causes:
- another mod requiring wc directly or a mod that in return requires wc, in both cases it temporarily loads the mod for the world
- something gone haywire and you caught a case of file corruption either on modside, space engineers side or steam side which can usually be solved by letting steam check for file integrety, if that didnt help making a clean redownload of all modfiles (so after deleting all modrelated filed from the main and worldspecific storage folder as well as from the workshop folder of the steam library in which you did install se) and in the worst case scenario by deleting the acf for the workshop and letting it regenerate.

you did write that you did made a completly fresh reinstall, though was it just telling steam to uninstall and reinstall the game or did you also delete the files for se inside the %appdata% area? also this does not remove the workshop files and doesnt help if something has gone haywire there.
