Unresponsive Troops (When In Formation)
Hey so im playing TLD Warband Mod and I keep encountering this issue where I go to command troops so select infantry, hold f1 and then tell them to hold somewhere and the issue is that when Infantry are in a formaton like sheildwall they dont respond to the order.

So if i say hold off to the right of me a bit for example they will not respond then randomally just walk forward or choose their own spot to hold. Another example is i'll say hold in front of me and they might shift a fair bit or walk fiurther then I said. To stop this issue I just press "U" so no more formation and then they listen but i just cant work out why they wont respond to orders when in a formation.

Any help is apprechiated

From what I can figure, there's no way that your troops will listen if they are in formation. It's sad, but if you want your troops to follow your commands, you'll have to get them out of formation for the time. (You can tell all your troops to charge and then follow me so they will listen, or if the "U" thing works [not sure if it does] do that as well.) You can get your troops back into formation after you've given them all the commands needed, but personally, I don't even bother with formations.

Really? so the mod has formations but they don't work at all? Just weird but i'm sure i've seen youtube videos with this mod and people using formations. "U" just undoes the formation and honestly battles are so quick there isn't much time to get them back in formations. Thanks for the help.

I wouldn't say they don't work at all, they are useful in some situations, maybe in trying to defend a certian chock hold, like a hill. But like I said, I generally don't use formations. Not sure if they'll work, maybe you could test this, but they may stay in formation and hold if you give them a command to hold and then go into formation. I do know that they won't follow you or move in the correct way if they are in formation. But glad I could help, and I hope this doesn't take away from your gameplay experience!
