Bug reports
You can report bugs in this thread.
All bug reports must provide a HugsLibs log. To obtain one, follow these steps:

1) Subscribe to Log Publisher from HugsLib
2) Inside of the game and after experiencing the issue, press Ctrl + F12. This will launch the log publisher.
3) Click on the "Upload" button.
4) Press on the "Copy" button to obtain the link to the log.
5) Paste the log link in your bug report.

If you do not have HugsLib, you can also use a RimWorld log. You can look how to obtain it in this link.

I also noticed that it's because they are starving. They dont eat the insect jelly or the fungi in the caves, only corpses if something dies nearby.

After some short testing with nothing but Biomes! Cavern and its requirements, I still can't seem to grow gleamcaps. At least not on the fungal garden gravel. Is this intended or am I just doing it all wrong and it needs the fungiponics? If so, they still refuse to grow past 0.02 percent and I cannot figure out why. I've even tried a full reinstall. I'm hoping I'm just misunderstanding something

Okay, Im confused. Does this work as a save file when downloaded or am I missing something?

Also, my foundry bug eggs hatch into random creatures. (a snail and 3 shatterjaws). is that intentional? And metallo snail farts out about 20 chunks of metal every time it lays an egg in addition to the already crazy amounts of steel it gives by default. 2 of them gave me 6k steel in about 30 days+ the metallo snails dont eat kessinger.

Sorry, I confused your message with a different report. The jellypot ancient danger issue has been fixed for the next version (for real this time, I hope).

Regarding the egg and metallosnail issues, they are definitely not intended but it does not seem to be happening to other people. You might have something in your modlist changing animal products. I did not see any errors in the hugslib log.

I tried force spawning a Large Infestation from Vanilla Factions Expanded Mod in a Fungal Forest Cave. It failed.

When I spawned it in a normal mountain Biome, it succeeded. This leads me to believe that something is wrong on this Mod's end.

UPDATE: I tried spawning a Vanilla rendition Infestation on both Biomes, and the Event fired in both without error, but the Insectoids did not tunnel in anywhere.

SECOND UPDATE: I spawned the Thing Def that causes Insects to tunnel in, and THAT worked for both.

@TurtleShroom basically the biome ( if its not surface cave) has stable mountain roof tile wich is different from vanilla mountain roof tile but the moddet insect hives only spawn in the vanilla one this might lead to isues i had similar isues untill i addet a few vanilla ones by the dev console(this too might cause isues) the error thing is from finding no place were to spawn it i had similar isues so this might be a way to fix it :) [/quote]


The VFE folks have replied and said that has to do with the Stable Mountain Roof, which the Incident that spawns Insectoid Infestations does not check.

Using cheat codes to spawn a normal Mountain Roof and then firing both Incidents did not work.

Abyssal grapes described as nice to eat raw, but still give "ate raw food" mood debuff.

Xyrion tail has anomalously low weight.

Bovine beetle has anomalously low market value (actually, a lof of cavern creatures do) and unusually high melee dps.

Wild men are harvesting log-yielding plants in fungal cavern, but not eating them.

Nogtyl does not spawn on marsh it only can be placed there at map gen).

Mycelium can only spawn on rich soil, this means that normal soil or mud are staying absolutely bare in fungal caverns.

Actually, there is no plants growing on non-ruch soil at all in fungal forests. If you pump moisture from mud, it would stay bare. Marshy soil with 100% fert? Bare.

Also, there is no pollution plants there, so polluted ground is also left bare.
