There's an incompatibility with A Rimworld of Magic- namely, the revia (and it appears only the revia) does not display any ability options when selected alone.

This includes psycasts, role abilities, gene abilities, and the draft function.

If multiple units are selected, the revia do display their abilities, but using said abilities often proves unreliable. Such as only drafting or undrafting some selected revia.

This bug seems to appear regardless of mod order.

@Tana, not sure problem caused by revias. I checked this and didnt find any problem:

(Revias are spawned using dev-actions. Xenotype applied on spawn, not by myself)

I have no ideas how revias can brake Rimworld of magic.

I don't, either. Though it's more like RoM breaks Revia than the other way around. On my game, anyhow.

Why doesn't revia have no Backstory? I found Backstorydefs in the file.

@鲜芋仙, there is a problem on pawn selection screen only. Revias, that raiding you have backstories. I'll try to fix it soon.

Well, I managed to track down my bug. It appears to be a variant of this ongoing issue where ideological buildings can be corrupted, and in doing so prevent certain pawns from being drafted:

In this case, the Revia's blood circle was the culprit. And now that I've fixed that, everything seems to be fine.

Still no clue why it only manifested itself when RoM was also active, but such is the nature of mods I guess.

In any case, if this happens to anyone else: it's an easy enough fix by deleting your mods settings cache. A bit annoying going back through and tweaking all your settings to your liking again, but beats not being able to have your adorable murder-foxes.

Not a bug of your making but a compatibility bug that if you want to fix you can, at least I believe it is. For me there's an issue when using Revia (biotech) with Nal's Facial Animation mod. With and without the Vanilla Expanded simplified version, but it removes the tails and the ear graphics from appearing. This might be an unplanned thing because I believe it was only working with a patched file from 'Vanilla Sky' before for (a) the body and (b) revian ears when using their human ears mod so in theory by default the ear's not showing is incompatible per the original mods intention.

That being said, someone else might make a patch someday which you might be able to help them plug into the non-HAR version compatibility if you don't want to do it yourself and I understand. Neither of the original patches were updated so it's not anything needed right this second more of a QoL fix if you were inclined to do so at some point. <3

@Sannestia, hey! Im sorry, but there were no notification for me :(
I played for a long time with Nal's facial animation ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2581693737 ) and that's work fine with my mod. (But unfortunatly "Revia Race - Facial Animation" by Vinzero wont works, only default facial animation)
Maybe some other mod broke it for you?

Is there's no way to create a custom only female xenotype?

I'm messing around to start a new playthrough based on Revia, but I wanted to change the germline up a bit (didn't like that an animal that lives in holes in the ground is a bad digger), but any chage I make removes the only female limiter.

@Renkij, yeah, but not by my mod.
Any mod that adds single gender genes such as wc - genes. alpha genes, or male and female only genes (Thanks @ParasiticSquid)

Regardless of the conditions, it sometimes appears in the log and causes severe lag.
