Total War: WARHAMMER III

Total War: WARHAMMER III

SFO: Grimhammer III
End turn AI crash.
A longtime 10,000 hours TW:WH player, I tried SFO for the first time this week! Tyrion Legendary campaign, adjusting many SFO settings to make it more challenging. I must say, it's one of the most fun campaigns I ever played -- managing things like Control, Replenishment Rate, and even Recruitment presented unique challenges and tough decisions. I was loving it. Then, at Turn 37, over the end turn, the game hiccuped and crashed while calculating AI turns. I turned all graphics to Low, loaded again, crashed again. I noticed it catches a hiccup and crashes on the 53rd faction's turn (I don't know which faction this is, due to Fog of War). Desperate, and resigned to my campaign being spoiled, I enabled the "Discover All" factions mod and Clear Fog of War mod, loaded and determined that AI Reikland is crashing my game on the Turn 37. I am closely examining Reikland and all their provinces and armies to see what unusual thing could be causing the crash. I can't determine what it is. I am incredibly disappointed and angry with SFO. Despite those 37 turns being very fun and challenging, the whole campaign has to be thrown away as there is no way to progress. I feel like I wasted an immense amount of time. I was using no other mods except for cosmetic ones -- Ultimate lighting etc. I disabled them all. They are not conflicting with SFO and not causing the crash. It is SFO all the way, and despite SFO being so popular among so many players, I will never be using it again because of this. What a disappointment.

Well that seems petty; you act like you're reviewing some product you bought that didn't work out.

That aside I've only started playing again recently and mostly just multiplayer campaigns but havn't had any crashes or desync yet so I wanna say whatever the issue is it's almost certainly on your end. Graphics shouldn't be an issue so I wouldn't mess around there. If you have it in you, for the sake of troubleshooting, try a new campaign with literally just SFO installed, no cosmetic mods - no nothin', and see if you can play without crashes. Also manually delete and redl the mod as well, just for the sake of thoroughness.
