Thank you for this patch note and for all the work you are doing. I'm thrilled to test it out (i am just reinstalling XCOM :p )
There is a bug with your link and this one should work properly: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kHAQHA7OQFqpkWfJs-sNcM3SVSxGl2xDRCU9AxyTkN4/
When it comes to the changes here are some of my comments:
- "Firestorm is now usable as a dash move, but costs two actions. Still works with Quickburn" this is an amazing buff for Technical soldiers :o
- "Roust direct burn chance changed from 20% to 75%", i did not know the chances were so low! Big buff again
- "Concussion rocket : Deals flat 2 damage, Smoke effect removed, guaranteed disorient, flat 20% stun chance" . This is nice, I never really used the concussion for the smoke, this is good for build diversity.
The changes on Chosen seems promising, I am eager to test!
Considering that the last non beta release was crashing on the first mission and was unplayable, this is a great advancement.
BTW, might I suggest, if you take suggestion ofc, consider maybe integrating the "Remove Weapon Upgrades" mod or something? It works incredibly well with the fact that one can always remove weapon upgrades in LWOTC, and would probably be a big timesaver.
FYI, it's already very compatible just turning it on.
(Probably the dev team already knows about RWU, but I figured just in case :D.)
"Dark VIPs now have Shadowstep because you’d think XCOM soldiers would be briefed to not shoot the VIP they’re trying to capture." This is hilarious.
And mostly, I wanted to say: thank you devs for making a lovely lovely mod!
(It's amazing, I can now rage with the force of a dying star against the Chosen and Lost as well! :D)
EDIT: UI bug spotted? Banish (reaper) in the abilities screen: "Each shot has 20.0000 less aim than the previous"--I don't think the dot and zeroes are intended? Also, he still has Death From Above--which I believe was patched out?--but I guess that'll change when he gets back from his mission.
Oh and; another feature that would be *amazing*: the ability to view Chosen Weaknesses and Strengths when not fighting them. I have all the memory of a goldfish, so I get confused even about which Faction they're weak to, much less all their Strengths! (Also you can't look it up on a wiki *sad*)
Thank you for your time.
On your query re viewing the Chosen, I believe if you click the Chose icon to the left of the doom meter on the strat map that brings up the Chosen overview.
Thanks bunches!
Also, soldiers have their tree saved when they get a class, so if you want updates, you'll want to use Respecselectedsoldier
