First. I think Massilia is one of the most interesting factions to play when you already played a lot of games like Imperator and Rome Total War. Being a lonely hellenic small country surrounded by gauls and trying to be a major player in the Mediterranean Sea is awesome challenge.

That said... I do think the mission tree Far From Home is awesome both as a challenge and a roleplay... but I really don't like and am not interested in The Matter of Cisalpine Gaul for a lot of reasons.

First, the two objectives I think is fun to have with Massilia is to fight to become a major trading and naval power in the Mediterranean sea and / or expand north and spread hellenic culture into gallic lands. Cisalpine Gauls adds little to both and, worse of all, put you in the direct path of Rome pretty early on. Facing Rome as Massilia can be cool, but that early on is suicide so that mission being avaiable at start is a waste. If you take CIsalpine Gauls, Rome WILL come after you before you have time to prepare.

So, my suggestion: Massalia would profit more from having a starting mission about setting a foothold in Gaul outside Cisalpine Gaul first. So you can decide what you want first: fight for the Mediterranean Sea with Far From Home or expand and set a continental foothold with The Matter of Transalpine Gaul or Aquitania or Terraconensis... anywhere outside a major blobing power path that early on. After yeah, maybe The Matter of Cisalpine Gaul if you want challenge the romans when you actually have a chance of winning.
