Crusader Kings III

Princes of Darkness
Magical / Exotic Ingredients?
How the hell do you obtain these things for Alchemy creations?

It says they can be found in the Umbra, but I've run expeditions in a bunch of different realms and have yet to come across a single reagent.

What I did find, however, was a Blood Sorcery ritual that allows me to just spawn the special ingredients, at the cost of blood.

The downside, however, is that mortals can not learn Blood Sorcery. Which means I can't use it to produce the ingredients I need to make an Elixir of Immortality. I'd have to become a vampire to do so, and that would make the elixir useless to me, because I'd already be immortal!

Oh, also, the Blood Sorcery ritual spawns ingredients randomly through RNG. Meaning I have to keep a well stocked prison that I can quickly feed on in order to re-roll if I don't get the results I want.

It would be easier, if there was a console command to just spawn them in.

Stop cheating. Just drain more prisoners. Also, level the blood sorcery skill. At level 3 it gives three random ingredients per usage. Precision through volume.
When it comes to the umbra, though, volume of explorations are not going to cut it. You have to check the map on the wiki-page. At least you should find magic water in places like the river of shadows, the river of tears, the river of weirdness or whatever.

Sadly, haven't found any of those locations.

For the underworld check Shadowlands --> River of Death
For the Dreaming check Near Dreaming --> Lake of Sorrows or Seas of Dream
In a location with magic water an explorer should automatically earn one magic water each month.
Just make sure that the explorer makes progress on the exploration track, sometimes they get deactivated when they travel or serve as knights.

Ah, I've mostly been sticking to Black Spiral Labyrinth and the Abyss, because I'm playing the Baali who wants to resurrect her son.

I was starting to think dancing the spiral was pointless, until I finally managed to find Alexander after I don't know how many tries.

Immediately embraced him on the spot.

Okay, the wiki is no help at all. I can't find any information about where specifically to look for ingredients. The closest I can get is "artifact pieces" but it doesn't clarify what that means.
The map tells you which places you have to search to find routes to even more remote locations. With magic water it is easy to tell from the names of locations which ones are likely to have some. With herbs it is semi-predicatable. The fuel is the issue. You actually have to canvass the dreaming until you find it. Without the map you spend too much time on dead-end locations.

Alright, I found some locations that grant what i'm looking for.

Magic Water = River of Death, Sunless Sea, Slumbering Oceans, Lake of Sorrows, Rivers of Fantasia.

Magic Herb = Kureksarra

Magic Fuel = Great Dream Forest, Discordant Woods, Forest of Lies.

Magic Mineral = Arawn's Forge
