Princes of Darkness
How Do You Become Werewolf?
Alright, I had Karl Shreckt brew a Lycanthropy potion that turned him into a Kinfolk, but didn't make him a full werewolf. He's able to learn the first 2 Homid Born gifts, but nothing else beyond that, and he has no affiliated tribe meaning he can't learn tribal gifts at all.

Even worse, he's got the Unstable Soul debuff, which doesn't wear off until 1268, warning me he'll die if he drinks any more potions like that.

I had him marry a Fenris kinfolk, and we've been having children thanks to using the cheat to force them to sleep together. All 3 kids are Kinfolk, but none have undergone the First Change.

I miss the old way of Sorcery, where you could just do the ritual of collecting 5 pelts, because this new method has me jumping through a ton of hoops, trying to figure ♥♥♥♥ out through trial and error.

The only reason I was able to brew the potion in the first place was by save scumming it, and even then it took me multiple reloads before the Garou sigil finally showed up.

If you wanted to play a werewolf I suggest just starting as a Werewolf. A kinfolk marrying a kinfolk will never produce a full blooded werewolf. You will need to marry a full blooded werewolf for the child to have a possibility of becoming a werewolf (Again this isn't guaranteed, being kinfolk just increase your chances). What game mode are you playing btw? I don't think normal mode will allow any hunter to transform into any other splat, Samuel Haight mode "might" but I haven't checked the new Sorcery lifestyle.

Playing the Hunters mode as Karl, the independent hunter.

Before they revamped the Sorcery system, I was able transform Inquisitors and Hunters into Garou through collecting 5 werewolves and using the appropriate ritual. After the revamp, you could no longer use Sorcery to become a werewolf, until recently when the option was supposedly added back in as an Alchemy recipe.

I used a full Garou as the sacrificial victim for creating the lycanthropy potion, so I expected it to turn me into a full werewolf, instead of just a useless Kinfolk.
