Are Abominations Actually Playable?
Both through the use of Alchemy, and through attempting the Embrace, there is only a 1% chance of successfully turning a Shapeshifter into an Abomination.

Every attempt I've made has ended in failure, even if I save and reload to try for a different result. I also do not remember seeing the Abomination trait available when trying to make a custom leader. If it exists, I guess I just wasn't paying attention.

So I'm curious, if they're actually meant to be playable at this stage of development? And if so, how do they function compared to normal Vamps / Wolves?

It's much easier becoming an abomination by achieving the black spiral dancer objective.
They are playable, having vampires mechanics (except embracing, they are sterile) + crinos form and keeping access to some of their werewolves powers.

Thanks for the tip.

On a slightly related note, I'm guessing you plan to add in Mages at some point in the future? Because when using the search function to locate certain traits, I noticed the Mage sigil is available, but I've not come across anybody in game who actually has it yet.

We do. Not anytime soon though.
