Custom death animation issue.
Figured I'd open a bug report to avoid cluttering the main page. I mentioned before that I was experiencing the custom death animation bugging out when using the Kinetic Strike Module. As explained before, there's a noticeable pause between the initial impact, and the alien dying. This issue seems to happen with any alien unit, not just the ones included by this mod.

I'm using the default settings, and the CHL Beta version. I've tried to run some tests in case I'm using a mod that changes the template names for the aliens affected by this mod, but everything seemed fine.

Seeing two Kinetic Strike Modules in engineering is a minor issue for me, but it could be due to Primary Secondaries creating a duplicate, but that's just speculation on my part.

Interesting. Thanks for the video. Could you repeat the exact same test, but first type this console command:

x2debugvisualizers

Also, is this a regular vanilla SPARK or some kind of special class?

No need to repat this for all aliens, one standard advent trooper is enough.

As for the SPARK. I'm using the Mechatronic Warfare mod, though this issue occurs with RM's Mec Troopers also.

Thanks, this helps a lot. I think I know why this happens. You seem to have a mod that displays attacks' hit chance in the flyover. Try disabling that mod and testing again. If you can confirm that's where the problem is, I might be able to fix it.

The main mod I use that specifically states that it displays hit chance in the flyover is Extended Information by Mr. Nice. Removing the mod, clearing the config didn't fix the issue unfortunately. I tried removing other similar mods, such as EU Aim Rolls and Tactical Stat Overhaul, but to no avail.

At a bit of a loss as to what's causing this, every other part of this mod works flawlessly.

I still think it's interference from another mod that affects ability visualization.

You'll just have to keep disabling mods until it starts working and you find the culprit.

Apologies for the delay, it took awhile to go through my mod list. I have confirmed the conflicting mod to be Musashi's Dual Wield Melee mod. I've checked, double and triple checked. I'm not entirely sure how or why it causes this issue, but it's most definitely that mod. I could just not use that mod, but at least we now know the cause.

Interesting. I'll run some tests and see what can be done. I'm sure I'll be able to fix it one way or the other. Thanks.

Issue is fixed, closing discussion. Had to add Kinetic Strike to Dual Wield Melee's ability blacklist. Added all other spark melee abilities to that list for good measure, even though they don't apply KSM custom death.
