Unable to set custom vehicle loadouts / disable randomization
I have been unable to set custom loadouts and colors for the vehicles in this mod through the editor. For instance, once I have the proper color on the landrover and proper props added or taken off, it shows these changes in the editor. But once the mission starts these changes are reversed, and the land rover will be a random civilian color and have none of the prop changes I made (like removing the spare tire).

I would just use a different faction that only has one color for their land rovers, but my unit specifically wants the olive color. This isn't just an issue with landrovers either. We want to have the Huey with the black skin, but it reverts to the default color on mission start.

We spent nearly 2 hours troubleshooting trying to disable randomization, set the colors, and even spawn the vehicle in on mission start, but none of these work. I find it strange that there isn't an option to set the vehicle skin in the attributes, and this is causing many issues for our unit.

We aren't a conventional military, but a PMC for context. Any help would be appreciated because beyond this we love your mod.

Hello there, thanks for the report. It is already known and it is something we are looking to fix. The issue is likely caused by the fact we have fixed the client side randomization of vehicle colours - i.e. every vehicle placed on the server appears the same colour to every player - which is something we require for Ops where identifying enemy civilian vehicles (for example) is critical. With BIS system, each car can appear to be a different colour to individual players. It is likely this is causing the issue where the skin is switched back to what skins are permitted on say.....an ANA Huey. It is something we are looking into, it just couldn't be fixed in time to include it with the rest of the hotfixes that we wanted to roll out.

If you are playing with a Zeus, I'd be interested to know what happens if you place the unit when already in game, go into its Virtual Garage, and then select the new texture then. It might stay in place as the game and server-side texture function will already be running - meaning the new texture you selected in the Virtual Garage should appear to everyone on the server. It might be a work around for now.

We actually managed to find a workaround that does everything automatically in case we don't have a Zeus.

In the description.ext you can use the line
disableRandomization[]= { "(vehicle id)" };

This disables randomization, but you have to edit the vehicle beforehand as for some reason it prevents vehicles from being editted in the garage.

Maybe you can create a module for disable the randomization

Fixed. There will be an option on the vehicle to disable the faction vehicle camouflage from overwriting anything chosen via the Virtual Garage in the next update.
