extra npc's
i started up a new game, and ended up with 4 random npcs, that are attached to the party, i saw in the comments that there is a book to control the settings, in game possibly, where is said book and is there a way to remove said npc's (party wise) so i can have main char. in party.

Did you ever figure out a way to solve this?

i think so, it was another modd interfiering with it i think, was a while back.

The only way I found to fix this is to remove leaderlib. Anything with that mod will forever be broken it seems.

Check if you have installed Norbyte's Script Extender. If it is, check if it's installed in the right directory. *\Steam\steamapps\common\Divinity Original Sin 2\DefEd\bin. Take a note that the "bin" folder is in "DefED" folder.

I'm not sure if this mode really requires the extender but it helped me when I had this issue. Also it makes loading screens load significantly faster.

If you have 4 people in your party in a new save, odds are you also got a "working story error" popup message. This means you're missing mod dependencies, such as another mod or the script extender. The game doesn't work correctly if this happens, one of the side effects being it adds all these starting characters to your party.

PSE itself doesn't add people to your party, nor does LeaderLib.

That's weird you say that because the only way I ever fixed this mod from ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ me up was leader lib? I remove that, no more this. No matter what I do, it will always add people for some reason. Like that's great and everything but why give people at the beginning of the game and why not just allow me to recruit people later on the game when I actually need them.

LeaderLib doesn't add extra NPCs.

I just tested it on a separate computer with:

1. No extender enabled.
2. Only Party Size Evolved v1.2.1.2 and LeaderLib v1.7.16.4 enabled.
3. Game version v3.6.69.4648.

I started a new game, picked The Red Prince, loaded into the tutorial, and I have no extra characters in the party. Same thing if the extender is enabled.

I need to know exactly what mods you're using when you get the problem, what the game version is, and if you have the extender enabled or not. Also maybe try re-downloading LeaderLib incase the Steam download corrupted it or something (they're uploaded on Nexus as well).

By the way, if you're clicking through this box when you end up with these extra characters in you're party, that's the game telling you there's a scripting error, so it reverts to fallback scripts that add these QA debug characters to your party:

This happens if you're missing a dependency, such as an Odinblade mod without Odincore, or a mod that requires the script extender (like Huntsman Overhaul) without having the script extender.

After I clicked "Accept" here, you can see in the tutorial it added these debug QA characters to my party:

This is because the game is not working correctly, due to missing dependencies.
