Description
Party Size Evolved increases the default party size limit to 6, with the option to configure it higher or lower, all the way to 10, or back down to 4.

5+ Multiplayer
While a higher party size limit is needed for 5+ multiplayer, this mod doesn't increase the player limit, as that has to be done by overriding the main campaign's meta.lsx file.

Disclaimer: I haven't tested 5+ multiplayer, nor is it my intention to do so, so please don't message me about getting it to work. Thanks!

You can download a copy of the meta.lsx file here (it has the player limit set to 10):

Place the meta.lsx file at this pathway, making the folders as needed:
Divinity Original Sin 2\DefEd\Data\Mods\DivinityOrigins_1301db3d-1f54-4e98-9be5-5094030916e4\meta.lsx

Every player needs this meta.lsx override (presumably).

Make sure you use the file linked above, as an old meta.lsx with a version older than what's in the latest patches won't work.

PSA: Controller Support
Currently, controllers don't work very well when you use more than 4 party members. You'll be unable to switch to the extra party members, and the inventory UI is broken:

Unfortunately, there's not much I can do about this, since the UI is unmoddable from a supported/traditional perspective. An official fix for controller UI is not likely to happen. Sorry!

Features
  • The party size is set to 6 by default when the mod is activated. This can be increased to 10, or back down to 4.
  • Reflection dialog, party decision dialog, and flags/tags DOS2DE looks for in dialog have been taken into careful consideration, and made compatible. Even with 10 party members, they will all have reflection dialog.
  • No files are overwritten. PSE works by modifying databases and disabling a specific DOS2DE script to enable its own. Additionally, these changes can be reverted to return things to normal.
  • A settings dialog is available for the host to configure their max party size.

    This menu can be accessed with the PSE book, or through the LeaderLib mod menu.

  • *New* A Party Management submenu is now available, allowing you to assign characters to other players.

  • *New* Character switcher skills are now available, allowing controllers a way to switch between characters.

Selecting Party Members When You Have Too Many
If you increase the max party cap high enough to have portraits go off the screen, you can select these party members with the following keybinds:

The "Cycle Characters Next / Cycle Characters Prev" keybinds available in the controls menu (The default keys are left bracket [] for Keyboard + Mouse).

Bug Reports
If you experience any party-related bugs as a result of having more than 4 members, please notify me in the comments below, and I'll investigate it. All the bases should be covered, as I've gone through and looked to see where the party amount factors into Larian's scripts, but as this is a pretty complex thing, something may have been missed.

If any of you are having the 4 random npcs problem. it's another mod causing it. probably a Helaena class mod. disable that before complaining here.

the only issue Ive encountered so far is the at the Fight against the gods at the end of nameless island where it will only agro 5 of YOUR party member's at max. the enemey actually replicate (at least character wise) properly (so if you have 7 party members so do they) but only 5 of yours actually agro in the fight (the extras you can control freely)

I was having the 4 random NPC's myself but was able to locate the problem it is a different mod that is running into a problem and is causing the game to spawn them. Once that is corrected it works just fine. Hopefully that helps out some and you enjoy the mod as much as me it really fun to play with a full squad of 6-7 and have each one have a different theme.

I have seen people complaining about there being 4 random NPCS. I'm not exactly sure how to remove them but I have used this mod for awhile and I've only encountered this once. The occasion stood out because I got the pop up that says I don't have a valid setup. I removed some unneeded mods from my active list and they were gone and everything worked fine.

Those four random npc are ruining everything. I unsubscribe from the mod, it is unchecked in my mod list. Yet, I start a new game and these four useless clown are for some ungodly reason standing next to me.

These four buffoons cannot be removed from the party by any means. They have infected my game files. You cannot talk to them, you cannot remove them, you cannot kill them and you made the mistake activate the mod on a save in which the first boat no longer exist, they just stand in limbo forever.

I am sorry to blow this out of proportions, but I just spent 5 freaking hours on trying to have them leave.
