Report Bugs Here
Even though the mod is pretty much stable and very compatible with other mods, there may be some things I may have missed or not had the opportunity to test and find out myself yet.

Bug Report
Please add along with your bug reports:
  • Detailed description of what the issue is.
  • Screenshot(s) / Video(s) showing the issue (a picture says a thousand words).
  • List of mods you were using at the time (ideally with download links, so I can quickly find and download them).

Thanks!

Known Bugs / Other Issues
These are the following bugs or other issues that have been officially reported (if reports from below are missing in this list, it means that they have been fixed):
  • When using other mods that affect shields, the Roman shield(s) for the "Marian / Imperial" uniform art sets may display a grey shield.
  • Lack of hair or hair variety for Generals / Politicians (not a bug, but will be adding more soon).

For some reason the shields are appearing white, also mounted generals are using infantry shields. I'm using this with DeI.

Here are a couple of screenshots:

Thanks for the report.

Yeah, I've noticed this being mentioned elsewhere a couple of times as well - I'll check it out later today and see what's the matter with the Polybian scutum shield.

Mods:
*snip*

Just as I suspected, he's missing his spear. Don't worry, it'll be fixed in the update coming on Friday - I just forgot to give generals spears for when they're in a spear-equipped unit (cavalry bodyguard, triarii etc).

EDIT: Actually, it'll be in the update afterwards - I ran out of time to do it this time. Giving them spears involves a long, tedious task of giving them all spears through new battlefield VMDs.

Okay, I recently fixed the white shield bugs - if I get any more reports about it along with screenshots I'll put it back in the "Known Bugs" list, but I've got a feeling that it's fine.

I also had a look at the "Rome II 0.95 - Skins & Hair" mod by Celticus, and it worked fine - might be an issue on the user's end (e.g. having too many mods causing assets to disappear, or specific combination of mods causing the issue). Spoke to him and he's going to check out all of his mod in different combinations.

EDIT: And it turns out I was right - he had too many mods enabled. Celticus' mods are compatible afterall.

Lack of spears while leading a spear-based unit (e.g. equites, legatus, triarii etc), is still a thing at the moment because I didn't have time to fix it in the update today - it requires a lot of time making thousands of new variants with spears in the "weapon_01" slot and then saving them to the battlefield variant slot for that uniform - hours of tedious, boring work. I'll get it done for the next update on Monday / Tuesday.

Thanks for the report BtoTheW.

Besides using DeI what other mods are you using if any?

My general isn't aging =[

I'm playing with DeI version 1.2 on the grand campaign. I'm using 25 mods though XD. However, I did test it with just the DeI standalone and your mod together and the problem still arose. I know it's a lot of mods and I don't expect you to download each single one. Perhaps I misunderstood and the generals don't age in the grand campaign?

- more cities & towns
- english faction names (DEI)
- elternative economy (DEI)
- no attrition (DEI)
- 250 armies (DEI)
- Agent Cards
- better general icon abilities
- better textures for horses, elephants, dogs
- better textures for siege equipment and walls
- better water III
- cultural tensio (DEI)
- de ai arbritiis (DEI)
- extended particles
- gbj blood mod purple rivers
- more diplo outcomes
- no hdr
- pdguru legal weed mod
- GEM
- realistic destructible objects
- special effects enhancement mod
- wonders of ancient world (DEI)
- my own personal music mod

the aging isn't working for me either :( (I have a similar mod set with 7 of these mods and 16 pack files in total). Out of my 7 generals above 50 only one looks aged...

Yes, not all generals have their aging models / textures yet and use their default younger ones - it's one of the things I've been working on for the new patch (hopefully coming out this week - I meant to release it back on the 27th June but I burnt myself out and needed a break). All of the references for old age variantmodels are in the variantmeshdefinitions, so all I have to do is create old textures and reference them to those placeholder old age variantmodels.

The generals who do currently have aging heads are:

• Caesar
• Octavian
• Pompey
• Antony
• Rom_General_32_Dad (young placeholder head will be replaced with another new head model entirely made by me - guess who it will be based off of?)
• Rom_General_19
• Rom_General_18
• Rom_General_12
• Rom_General_06

Next patch will give these generals aging heads:

• Lepidus
• Africanus (he will be getting a new, young (16 - 30) head model - mostly recycled from ARENA's younger depiction of him but fixed up a little bit since it was hidden by a helmet. He will also get an old (50+) head retexture for his default head).
• Rom_General_30
• Rom_General_29
• Rom_General_28
• Rom_General_27
• Rom_General_26
• Rom_General_25
• Rom_General_24
• Rom_General_23
• Rom_General_22
• Rom_General_21
• Rom_General_20
• Rom_General_17
• Rom_General_16
• Rom_General_15
• Rom_General_14
• Rom_General_13
• Rom_General_11
• Rom_General_10
• Rom_General_09
• Rom_General_08
• Rom_General_07
• Rom_General_05
• Rom_General_04
• Rom_General_03
• Rom_General_02
• Rom_General_01

I won't be giving Rom_General_31 (James Payne) an older variant since I wish to respect his memory. After that, and the other fixes are made, I'll be moving onto the Egyptian generals.

Aw sweet dude thanks for the response. And that's all right man, take your time and do what you gotta do; I'm just glad it's not a mod conflict or something arbitrary. The rest of the community and myself will patiently anctipate your next update!
