Hello everyone! This mod has been updated!

This mod includes many bug fixes and improvements to garrisons and upgrading systems as well as expanding the auxillary faction to desert factions. Some naval versions of the units have also been added.

Please also check out my new mods for Warhammer 3.

Sebidee's Unit Roster Overhaul

Hi guys, I proudly present Sebidee's Unit Roster Overhaul! This is my final mod for Rome 2 and a compilation of all of my unit related mods plus a few much needed improvements. This includes all 13 Sebidee roster expansions as well as my linothorax mod and auxilliary mod.

This is a huge unit roster expansion for all playable factions. It adds a total of 420 units, with an average of 14 new units going into each of the game's 31 factions. To add to this the auxiliary system is available for all factions so the number of new units really are endless!

All new additions fill gaps within rosters while also keeping each faction true to it's original strengths and weaknesses. All units are historically inspired and aim to represent both the faction's real armies and certain 'what if' scenarios to simulate the faction's probable armies had they survived past their historic ends. Check out the Unit Information discussion forum below for a recruitment guide, unit description and faction preview pictures.

Certain improvments have been applied which means this mod differs from the standalone mods somewhat., especially the earlier ones (when I was working solo/wasn't very good). You can find a full list of changes in the discussion forum below.

Some units which I personally considered were not fit to be included, either for historical reasons or otherwise, were removed. These units can be returned to the mod by using this sub-mod: Sebidee's URO Removed Units.

While this mod does add several units to certain unplayable minor factions some others are left out. I recommend using the following unit mods to complete all factions in the game:

The Berbers Unit Expansion by Cataph
Bitynian Overhaul and Cappadocian Expansion by Dreamlore
Big Bad Wolf's Arabia Unit Pack by Big Bad Wolf
African Aethiopian Unit Expansion Pack by William

I also highly recommend using the following mods for horse and shield reskins as well as an expansion of recruitable auxiliaries (also apply to all factions), please remember that you need to use a patch mod to make this mod work with Notitia Dignitatum 2.0. You can find this patch mod here.

Armoured Horses Mod by Avetis
Notitia Dignitatum 2.0 by Thunderbolt
J4AC - Expanded Auxilliaries by Job IV a Cowboy

Special thanks go out to my great researchers Rex Imperator, DrakeB22, The Triumph of Rome and Ares Total War as well as to Night Hunter and Job IV a Cowboy for their unit cards. Thanks also to GrudgetheDutchman, Pharoah, Smarmy and BigBadWolf for contributing with models, textures and much needed assitance and to everyone involved in beta testing including The Chocolate Jesus.

COMPATIBILIY: This mod is compatible with most other unit mods, it should be compatible with reskin mods too although there may be some overlap, it won't affect the running of the game it's just that each unit can only have one skin! This mod should work with Radious and DeI although it is not recommended as I think it will saturate rosters and make them too large, as well as balancing issues. Radious or DeI may also overwrite the mercenary and auxiliary mod although this has not been tested by myself. The base mod is not compatible with Notitia Dignitatum 2.0 but there is a compatibilty patch avaliable.

Thanks for checking out the mod, and also thanks for all the support during it's making. Much appreciated! See you on the Attila workshop, please leave a comment below :)

Please see the BUGS AND BALANCING discussion for the very long suggestion I wrote.

ps. don't suppose you'd be interested in making extra units for that Midieval 1100 mod?

To confirm, this includes ALL your other unit mods? So we can run this alone and not lose any units from your other mods?

Is there a technology required to recruit Noble camel spearmen as Egypt, or it is just auxiliary/not Egyptian roster unit? I can see them in custom battle unit list, but not in campaign buildings of technologies.

Does this mod include your other mod called Sebidee's All Factions Auxilia ?
Sebidee  [author] Feb 13 @ 6:34am
This is intended for a vanilla + game. Not recommended for use with large overhauls
Jason Wolf Feb 12 @ 8:02am
No. It is meant to be played with Vanilla.
