This is a unit expansion pack for the Aethiopian factions in Total War: Rome 2.

It adds 15 all new units to the factions of Axum, Blyemmes, and Meroe. As well as these new units, this mod unlocks several existing units for these factions too.

The new units are designed to fit in with Vanilla Rome 2, stats wise and theme wise. While there is a large variety of units here they are all balanced, you won't find super hero or fantasy units. The units are designed to be historically accurate and historically hypothetically plausible. Almost all of them probably did exist at some point in Aethiopia, or could easily have existed if those nations had become more powerful. The vanilla roster for these factions is so bare that it wasn't hard to add some common units.

Units are available to the player if the factions are unlocked, they're available to the AI, which should recruit all of them, and some of them are garrison units. This does make the garrisons bigger than default but i think this is justified because it should allow these factions to survive a bit longer.

Aethiopian Camel Archers - The African version of Camel Archers
Aethiopian Camel Warriors - The African version of Camel Spearmen
Aethiopian Heavy Chariots - Scythed Chariots with a good charge
Aethiopian Heavy Infantry - All round heavy infantry
Aethiopian Hoplites - The Aethiopian version of Hoplites
Aethiopian Horse Skirmishers - Javelinmen on horseback, pretty simple
Aethiopian Lancers - Shock Cavalry for Aethiopian factions, not as heavy as Cataphracts but still powerful
Aethiopian Noble Horsemen - Medium cavalry with good armour
Aethiopian Noble Swordsmen - Average heavy infantry soldiers
Aethiopian Noble Bowmen - Exactly like Noble swordsmen, except they are archers with longbows, very versatile.
Aethiopian Pikemen - The Aethiopian version of Phalanx pikemen
Aethiopian Tribal Champions - Excellent offensive melee unit, not the greatest in defence
Aethiopian Tribal Warriors - A decent early unit, better than levy spearman for slightly more money
Nubian Bowmen - Weak in everything except Archery, these bowmen have better than default accuracy
Nubian Horse Archers - The same as the foot version but on very swift light horses
Nubian Spearmen - Acceptable spear unit, much better than levies
Southern African Warriors - A very powerful offensive unit only balanced by their nonexistent armour and lack of shield

Aethiopian Heavy Infantry
Aethiopian Tribal Champions
Aethiopian Tribal Warriors
Nubian Bowmen

I dont know if this is because of the update but the Aethiopian Swordsmen are grey for me. No texture on the armor for me :/

Units need to have a record in the unknown 10 column in land units. That's their historical long description which is a required record now. That's the only thing you need to change. It's very easy, I updated all my units in a half an hour by just putting a vannilla record (I think from ballistas) into each of them.
