Great, thanks for the update! Appreciate all the amazing work you put into these mods
Yep, it only changes general appearances in a non-destructive way.
Hey there, the issues you're describing sound exactly like the dreaded 35 mod limit. Once you enable more than 35 mods - no matter what aspect of the game they affect - random models and textures fail to load.
It for some reason deletes several characters models. None of my Governors and Veteran Champions have a body/face model anymore and also in battles I see alot of empty armour running around both in my armies (especially unit leaders and standard bearers) and the enemies armies. Both officer models aswell as normal soldiers missing faces or their whole body with only their armour and helmet running around. Its not every soldier but its enough to be noticeable like 10% or so. Also noticed that some Officer and especial naval/marine soldiers have broken shield textures. Either full on white texture or a large white square the size of the late imperial roman shields on the Polybian and Marian shields.
That's what I plan to do for the Easterns very soon, I already have the Arabs done and very soon the Nabataeans. Once I get the Parthians/Persians done, I can release it (wouldn't make sense not to have them at least to fill out the generic Eastern general variations for the likes of Armenia etc).
Not unless someone creates more heads for me, I think there's currently plenty of variation - there are over 20 heads and an additional 20 old age ones compared to vanilla's 5-8.
You've gone over the mod limit. If you go over 35 enabled mods, vanilla-related assets will start to disappear.
@Tugeris'
They still work fine and I have no idea why the AAA mods would be crashing your game. Only reason why I said I'll be updating them is in relation to changing their appearances, not their functionality - that all should still work.
@bondiboi12
Yes.
I've been busy, sometimes IRL gets in the way. I'm still working on it.
Yes and yes.
Over the past year and a half, I've been in contact with a lot of fellow 3D artists making some top of the line assets - stuff I've been wanting and can do myself, but just haven't had the time for (making entirely new assets for a whole new culture is daunting work for just one person) - who have agreed to share with me some of their assets to get all existing and yet unreleased AAA mods finished for Rome 2 to cover all the cultures on the Grand Campaign. Expect to see some major progress and some well deserved updates to these mods in the near future.
Hope this helps.
All in all superb mod!!!!!
The southern barbarians like the Iberians should be the ones to be fighting more shirtless, it is warm, the sun makes you sweat and you want to show muscles and bravery and the fun part is: no hypothermia!.
Please add more realism and reskin the Iberians as real warrior tribesmen (torso exposed, warpaint on chest etc)
I can only assume your dad is in some way responsible for your passion for this topic/game, and thus I salute your lovely attempt to honor the man. Good on ya.
Not to do with this mod, this just changes visuals. None of the TPY databases are affected. I got similar reports in the past and the culprit wasn't with this one.
I've been using it for a while now with Parabellum, but unfortunately as soon as I switched to DEI the game crashes just before finishing to load into a campaign if I enable the AAA Generals. Everything else works fine together. No idea what the problem is, but still great mod ^^
