Will this not work mid campaign? The research for augmentations wont show up & my gravely wounded soldiers can't be used.

@Gibbons
Have you already researched Hybrid Materials? If so load a avenger save and the research should show up.

@Musashi that did it. Thank you for the assist. Sorry for posting in this thread btw. For whatever reason I can't post in the regular comments section of any of your mods. Anyway I look forward to trying this out once I acquire the augments.

Okay, I have a question/some feedback about the stats and it hadn't been answered in the comments, so I'll just post it here.

I understand why Ex Machina soldiers have immunity to fire and poison, they're full body cyborgs at that point so they're gonna have machine-like immunities. However, why do they have acid and explosive immunity? Acid burn is explicitly supposed to work on robotic units and explosions work on anything.

Why doesn’t it work on stasis or fortress then? It’s just a design decision.

Stasis and Fortress are both psionic barriers, but fair enough. I wasn't asking you to change it, I was just asking for an answer and you answered it. I guess full body cyborgs get a forcefield.

yeah, problem is ingame Acid is "Hollywood Acid." actualy RL Acids don't melt through stuff that quickly most of the time, and even for the ones that do, they tend to not work on everything (given Acid dissolving something is entirely dependant on its chemical makeup as well as the Acid in question). Plastic, for instance, is actually capable of being used to contain quite a few acids, including Hydrofluoric, which actually is capable of eating its way through plate glass.

as for explosive resistance, Bomb Squad gear already exists. what's actually most dangerous in an explosion is the volume and size of the shrapnel and blast wave caused by it. your average grenade, even a plasma-based one probably wouldn't have the "Oomph" to do much (additionally, a Plasma grenade would do most of its damage via heat, rather than shrapnel).

add to this that a full-body cyborg would react extremely fast as they're constrained a lot less than normal humans. an interesting thing about a human body is that humans can never effectively use all the Strength they actually have. they can train to use more of it, but they'll consciously never have access to all of it, being held back by things like, you know, pain. that said, all those stories you've heard of people doing crazy ♥♥♥♥ when high on Adrenaline is basically when your body's "released the Safeties." Fully Augmented Troopers would basically have access to that 24/7, and have the added advantage of being a lot less squishy as well.

I just wanted to check what is meant by '2 ablative health' on the Cyberarms? I'm guessing it means that the soldier gains two health points which can be knocked off without contributing to/causing a wound, but just want to be sure.

If you have Cyber arms on a soldier they will have 2 yellow bars that take the hits before anything else done

Ah, so it's like adding shielding. Okay, cool. Thank you for clarifying.

The spreadsheet mentions an 'elite weakpoint analyser'. How do I obtain one? It's not showing up in the proving grounds

What does it mean by compulsive behavior when you fully augment them?
I am also assuming that absorption fields make it so enemies can't do above a percent amount of hp damage?
