Enable the stat upgrade screen for other classes than the rpgo soldier
Open

%Steam%\SteamApps\workshop\content\268500\1280477867\Config\StatUpgradeUI\XComStatUpgradeUI.ini

with a text editor like notepad or notepad++ and add

+EnableClassForStatProgression=Spark +EnableClassForStatProgression=Skirmisher +EnableClassForStatProgression=Reaper +EnableClassForStatProgression=Templar
below
+EnableClassForStatProgression=UniversalSoldier

This is just an example. You could put in any class name you want here. You'll find valid class names in the XComClassData.ini of the game or in a mods config.

Thanks for that! I really liked having all the classes with upgradable stats, speccing them out how I wanted despite how OP it can be. Plus I have a bunch of ADVENT buffing mods so I sort of need stat distribution now. (Warlock with Ruler Actions and summons which gives him 6 or so attacks to one of your actions is nuts to fight)

Anyways I dug for a whole list of classes for the mods I use, this is for anyone else like me who wants them back.

Maybe fold this into the MCM menu, I'm thinking people should have to opt in to big changes.
Jestimac Mar 20, 2020 @ 6:46am
It seems that the rookies do not get any points at the end of a successful missions. They can be promoted to soldier, but there are no points allowing them to get better stats ? Is this intended ?
Musashi  [developer] Mar 20, 2020 @ 7:03am
Did you add Rookie to the ini file?
Rogue Trooper Mar 21, 2020 @ 7:09pm
I thought something had broken in my modlist, it's a good thing I checked here first. This would be better as optional in MCM.
It would be great for a new play through though :)

Edit:

@Sythine how did you find the class names in your game? I'm running some extra class mods that aren't in that list and they don't have the stats menu available.

Edit edit:
After adding that list I'm still getting multiple classes including reapers and specialists that I cannot access the stat menu.

UPDATE: Adds rookie to enabled classes. Unfortunatly that means manual changes in XComStatUpgradeUI.ini will be overridden by this update and must be done again.

opt in, not opt out PLEASE!!

I tried searching for it on my PC but the file doesn't exsist.

ALso on a side note i added the whole list of class Sythine was kind was kind enough to provide but I have stioll a lot of classes that are missing.

Sapper
Marksman
Assault Infantry
Field Medic
Marine
Tech. Specialist
Infiltrator
Breacher
Holosniper
Hunter
Paladin
Valkyrie
Warden
Weaponmaster

If anyone know what are the names that the .ini file would recognize I would appreciate it a lot as I would add them to the .ini so I can added to them to the rest of the classes which thank fully works ATM.

Sorry made a typo. The correct file name is XComClassData.ini

Thank you for clearing that up.

Sadly now that I found both XComClassData.ini from the game itself and your mod I have not found any of the class names other then the generic ones that comes with the game.

SO as much as I hate to admit it I'm confused and do not know were to look to find the correct class names to add to the .ini folder so your mod can let me train soldiers stats for the ones I mention in my earlier post today.

As mentioned earlier any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

your workshop mods are located here

%Steam%\SteamApps\workshop\content\268500

replace %Steam% with wherever you installed steam e.g

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam

I recommend using the Alternate Mod Launcher (AML). There you can just right click on a mod and select "Open in Explorer" to find the folder of a specific mod.

For the life of me I can not get Reapers able to upgrade stats. Not sure about the other hero classes since I don't have one yet. Tried a few different lines and so far none have worked.

+EnableClassForStatProgression=Reaper
+EnableClassForStatProgression=MP_Reaper
+EnableClassForStatProgression=RM_ReaperMecTrooper
+EnableClassForStatProgression=ReaperScytheClass
+EnableClassForStatProgression=WOTC_APA_Reaper
+EnableClassForStatProgression=RecruitableReaper

Not sure if there is any other ways to put in reaper from my mods that I haven't tried yet.

All good now, finally found the one I needed to put in.

so, im rooting around in the .ini file, searching, and I cannot find UniversalSoldier anywhere! even with ctrl+f

all of my charatcers are however upgrading with the base universal soldier class (which i dont want) and they all have the same skill tree (which I dont want)....im SO CONFUSED.

Having an issue with this, hope someone can help...Started a fresh new game, downloaded all my mods. Using RPGO and several RPGO classes, as well as a few UI mods, I can post my mod list if it'll help. The issue: The bottom skill in the first column duplicates ad nauseum down the list as I scroll. Screenshot here[imgur.com]

I'm using the second wave option that lets me pick the starting skills. I have edited the .ini to allow me to pick 4 starting skills. This worked perfectly fine the last time I played. It doesn't seem to hinder gameplay at all, but is really cosmetically annoying.
