Bug Reports 2.0
BEFORE YOU FILE A BUG REPORT READ THIS

if not DONT file a bug report and install and use it.

Do you have all the required mods installed(can be checked if you hover of the rpgo version on the start screen)?

RPGO Loading Errors[i.imgur.com]

if not DONT fle a bug report and sub and enable the requred mods.

Do you have some of the incompatible mods installed(can be checked if you hover of the rpgo version on the start screen)?

RPGO Loading Errors[i.imgur.com]
RPGO Loaded Successfully[i.imgur.com]

if so DONT file a bug report and disable them.

Have you read the mod troubleshooting guide and the Highlander Troubleshooting Guide[github.com] and tried everything they suggests?

if not DONT file a bug report and try that first.

If you managed to come to this point please make a detailed bug report
  • Mention the rpgo version you are using
  • Describe the bug and the circumstances. E.g with ability bugs its interesting what loadout the soldier had.

Bonus points for using this template:

    1. RPGO Version
    2. Active SWO / MCM Options
    3. Bug summary
    4. Current behaviour (bug)
    5. Expected behaviour (correct)
    6. Steps to reproduce

  • Add a link to a log file of the incident
  • Add a link to your mod list (can be copied from the aml profiles tab)
  • Maybe even add a link to screenshot of the problem

By doing so you really help me understand and find bugs and dont waste time chasing false positives. Thank you!

Very, very minor thing, but I feel it still qualifies (even if it's the least significant thing ever).
It looks like the stat improvement screen is using right alignment if a soldier's name includes "right" in it. This particular troop's last name is Wright.

Ha, it turns out the alignment is dynamic. I changed his last name and it corrected itself on the spot.

@yes_commander
Thats an problem with the underlying tag parser in flash. Best fix is not to use "right" in your soldiers name :P

I have noticed a bug recently that seems to apply when a soldier has too many perks. I have been experimenting by storing all of the XCOM AP and using it to purchase additional perks on a singular soldier. I have noticed recently that the displayed list of perks under their name in the tactical missions caps out to three rows. This is not a problem, but where things become really interesting is that any perks after those three rows outside of perks that add additional abilities or dedicated utility slot variations seem to stop applying. I am playing with a lot of add-ons that add specializations, but I think that this may have to do with something within the base game itself setting a hard limit on how many perks can be applied to a single soldier.

The bug itself is not game-breaking in that it stops the game from loading or crashes the game outright, but it is kinda disconcerting seeing this one soldier have perks that do not then apply. You can re-create the bug with debug console commands. Pick a test subject and give them enough AP to purchase more than 21 passive abilities and then pick some more. Send them on a mission and the bottom most perks will start to not apply. Or at least that has been my experience. I was able to recreate the issue by purchasing most of the abilities on the default Assault, Infantry, Sentinel, Sniper and Spotter perks before I noticed that the Scout perks, despite having them, were not applying.

I figured out my unusable Continue buttons.

I realized the same thing was happening on the world map, tried a new game without Narrative Control, and...

No conflicts came up in the AML, but I'll just leave Narrative Control out of my load order now.

Thanks @yes_commander
Uploaded a hotfix patch that should fix the issue.

Small issue that I've noticed over a while: if you're using mod-added Gremlins, then you only ever get 1 charge of Rescue Protocol, regardless of whether or not you have Gremlin Mk3's. If you use the vanilla Gremlin Mk3's, you still get the 3 Rescue Protocol charges, but not if you use mod-added ones like 343 Guilty Spark.

If you have the Light them up perk (rifles/shotguns) and a perk that puts you on the overwatch when firing the primary weapon, it cancels out the second attack you could make. Rendering the Light them up perk pointless.

This could be fixed in two ways, either make the overwatch apply at the end of the turn rather in the moment the soldier fires so any bonus actions wont be squandered, or restrict some perk combos when picking this perk.

Reposting here real quick: Is the Professional aptitude working correctly for everyone? Got a weird situation where it's giving me bonus damage on standard shots and I don't know if it's just broken in general to apply more broadly (it seems to be coded for reaction fire, so I dunno if it's something to do with Ballistic Shields, which my soldier was using as well at the time) or if it's just an isolated thingy. I had a Pulse Rifle, should do 5-7 damage in my game. Shot Wings of Extended Information were saying I was getting a bonus to up that to 6-8 damage via Professional, and a non-critical shot indeed registered 8 damage with that character. So I'm curious if anyone else has seen a similar thing, or if it's just this one isolated instance where that happened.

So I've ran into a bug during the UFO defense mission.
Every soldier reinforcement come in completely unusable, clicking on the soldier looks like this

Althought trying to move the guy just makes me switch soldiers. Incidentally all 3 guys have stuff from pluggins, so not sure if it's a RPGO problem or not

There is a small bug with swords, with that being said i DON'T know if the ripjack is affected as well. The bug causes the sword to be affected by shotgun cover damage reduction if, and only if, the soldier is using a shotgun as their primary weapon. The problem did persist after cleaning my config folder. As requested my mod list, the log files as well as screenshots can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/oegh27k5s5jokhi/AABU1Kh1go0NskSPlqNrfABia?dl=0

When my soldier has a bonus move point form Shigurui, kenjutsu doesn't trigger when my first action is to slash an enemy within blue-move range. However, when I move first to consume the bonus move point then slash an enemy within blue-move range, then kenjutsu works.

I don't seem to be able to equip psi amps. even after researching psionics. I know techincally this is more a problem for the mods that added abilities for psi soliders. but a lot of people have reported that over there and thought it was worth reporting here.
bstar  [developer] Jun 25, 2019 @ 3:46am
Are you using Psi Overhaul? It makes it so the soldier needs to be psi gifted in order to equip a psi amp, regardless of other mods enabling psi amps as a weapon for the RPGO class.
