Description

- New 1.3.4 Update has been released: More information on our website![divideetimperamod.com]

Please consider donating to support the mod[divideetimperamod.com], thanks!

Make sure you load the 3 mod parts in the correct order - Part 1 goes above the others in the mod launcher.

Divide et Impera is a total overhaul of Rome 2 that seeks to provide a challenging, historically authentic, realistic experience of the ancient world and warfare. Divide et Impera was named CA's best Overhaul Mod 2014, CA's Most Innovative for 2015 and also won Player's Choice in both 2014 and 2015. We have continued developing and updating over the entire course of Rome 2's life. Thanks to all of our players for your support!

As a complete overhaul of the game, there are thousands of new and changed features, units and unique systems that create a specific and specialized experience for the player. For that reason, most mods are not compatible with DeI and we recommend you try the mod out by itself before adding other submods.

- Overhauled Battle System from the ground up with new mechanics, better AI and more realistic combat.
- Over 3000 new units for 45+ playable factions including an Area of Recruitment system.
- A Unique and Customized Population System that adds depth and strategy to recruitment.
- A Supply System that requires logistical planning.
- A Specialized Reform system based on various triggers for different factions.
- Special Cultural and Factional systems that make each faction feel unique.
- New and Customized Economy and Hundreds of New Buildings
- Character Systems with various RPG elements and special traits
- Much, much, much, much more!

- Do not use any TPY mods or other startpos mods with DeI. Do not use any camera or scripting mods with DeI.
- Most mods (other than graphics mods) will not be compatible with DeI. Various submods are available to help alter the mod experience to the player's taste. They can be found at our Submod Forum[www.twcenter.net] or Steam Submod Collection
- It is recommended to play the mod on Normal Difficulty for balanced CAI aggression/diplomacy. Battle difficulty should always be set to Normal to maintain the mod's battle balance. Experienced players may enjoy Hard with battles set to Normal.

You must have all Parts of the Mod:
Divide et Impera Steam Collection

If you are experiencing crashes at startup or regularly in game play:
1. Check for other mods activated or just in your data folder. Some mods can be active even without activating them in Mod Manager. DeI does not work with most other mods.
2. Reverify your game cache in steam.
3. If that doesn't work, try deleting your CA Appdata folder and reverifying.
4. Lastly, if none of that works, try deleting and unsubscribing from part 1 and then resubscribing.

An alternative version of the mod can be found at our website[divideetimperamod.com]. The standalone version is quicker to download and usually has less issues.

Sandhaus, this sounds more like a mod conflict or something bugged with your DeI download.

And yes, you need to change language to English or you will miss all of our text entries (game allows mods to add working text only for 1 language version), maybe that is also you source of issues.

Pretty much all DeI units are 1 turn recruitment, as more than 1 turn casues issues with AI.

If your units take more than 1 turn, then it comes from on submods.

Hello fellow nerds! Could someone please create a 1-turn recruitment submod? I just jumped back into a new DEI campaign after a long break and had to update, reinstall, and remove some deprecated DEI submods. I'm using the SaveParser tool to play with 40 unit armies because I’m going for that full Total War experience. Thanks in advance and amazing work with DEI, 10/10! :steamhappy:

Hello, I am using all three mods in the correct order. I have also only activated the three mods part 1 - 3 for testing. For some reason, population growth is not working for me to replenish my existing units. The supply does not work either. I am also building the required buildings. Am I doing something wrong? Or is there something I should pay attention to?

I think the problem is that I'm playing the game in german with the corresponding translation of DEI in German. I can get it to work in English. Is there a solution here?

Thank you very much for your help

Diplomacy works if you invest in it from turn and and don't offer too many treaties with factions are not not close.

Basically every turn in TW game, each faction has % chance to declare war on you, even allies. The more factions you know, the more wars you get, the more wars you have, the weaker you appear to AI so even more of them declare war on you.

This is why in TW games you often see there war declarations from other side of the world as you meet a faction and it just rolled a war declaration this turn.

DEI gives a lot of great improvements to the base game. A lot of new units, new mechanics and a population system to name a few.

But one thing that's much, much worse than base game is the diplomacy. Over time, every nation there is declares a war on you! Even those far away! You can play as Gaul, but by turn 10 Numidia will declare war. You can be a protectorat of Rome, but they will invade you on turn 2.

There is no point or reason in diplomacy, other than making your game harder for you.

Is there a way to change aggression level or somehow fix this?
