Description
A wifi/body cam:
Craft or find wifi cameras with configurable channels to broadcast in. They can be toggled on and off and require a battery to broadcast. Finally the captain can see what the divers are doing!
A camera monitor (also craftable) or periscope hooked to a wifi component is required to view the cameras.
A camera monitor assembly is included to quickly place it into your submarine in the sub-editor.

What's in it:
- Wifi Camera (Craftable)
- Wifi Surveillance Camera (Craftable)
- Camera Monitor (Craftable | Provides visual effects when used)
- Camera Monitor Wiring Diagram (Craftable | An ingame guide to properly wire the monitor)
- Camera Monitor Assembly for sub-builders

Important Information:
1. The camera UI interfaces only work in play mode!
Do not open the camera items with Rightclick->Open while in the build mode of the submarine editor. It will crash your game. If you want to pre-place cameras with batteries inside them on your submarine use Shift + drag and drop the battery onto the camera item instead. You cannot pre-define a channel on the cameras in editor. The channel needs to be configured while playing. The same applies to the surveillance camera. You can not wire it in the sub-editor. You have to wire it during gameplay instead!

2. You might need to configure Performance Fix.
Add the following to your high priority items list if you notice the mod is not working properly when having performance fix enabled:

Warning for future users: Cameras spawned in using Livelandr's Sandbox Menu will not function.

Hey, I really like your mod pack and this one in particularly, I tried to understand how barotrauma works myself because I love the game but I was wondering if you could make it so the helmets did not hide hair (hidewearablesoftype="Hair"), a lot of the mods I like use hair and the helmets don't have hair and I want to use this mod more.

If there a way to do that, or maybe add a sub mod that allows hair?

Since there's now a demux component, you could probably make the circuit 2 times smaller. Made it with a relay, demux, wifi components and a xor + delay edge detector

@Cowabunga: It used to work just fine when I released it, but one of the game updates made changes on how the wifi component inside items work and that probably caused it to always set the voice channel to the same as the camera... I haven't figured out a workaround yet so I might have to communicate with the devs to see if they can change wifi components once again to allow this mod to function as intended, while not breaking something else in the game :captainsinful:

My crew is struggling to find a use case for this cool stuff when they can't hear each other while using them, so any solutions would be great

looks like headset is incompatible per the thread. Is there no work around to be able to hear crew while wearing these?

@WushuPinkyHold: No idea why the memory component would reset itself constantly. Maybe one of the game updates once again changed how the components are working code-wise and broke it? I'll have to test and see.

@ThatBartGuy: The item has no component that would allow switching it for another item in the code so I'm starting to believe the devs added some hardcoded thing that converts certain items when they introduced their camera items... I'll probably have to file a bug report for that to get fixed by the game devs.
