Door Clearance

Description
A lightweight mod which adds an extra validation rule when items are placed on the ground - they will now consider door/gate tiles as invalid. The goal here is to prevent sensitive doors from being stuck open due to items suddenly being placed, such as those caused by butchering, milking animals, or stripping prisoners.

FAQ
Q. Isn't this just DontBlockDoor? What's the difference?
A. Yes, the two mods set out to accomplish the same thing. As a fan of that mod myself, the original plan was to submit some performance optimizations to its author. However, after digging into it, building the mod from scratch with a different technical approach seemed to be the way to go instead.

This version here aims to accomplish the same goal with fewer patches and without touching any ticking methods to minimize harmony overhead.

Compatibility
  • This does not touch your save file and can be added or removed any time.
  • Should be compatible with any door-adding mod.

Credit
  • tikubonn: For the original concept of this mod which has been serving the community well since 2019. Countless chicken jailbreaks were prevented thanks to their efforts.

@漆黑之梦 What do you mean?
ShySkream Apr 29 @ 9:35pm
I've tested and it works perfectly fine for me in 1.5, including the new doors too.

@漆黑之梦 were you doing something specific or could it be another mod that broke it?
漆黑之梦 Apr 29 @ 6:34pm
As far as I know, it has no errors here, but it also doesn't work

From what I've heard, it is!

Is it safe to use this in version 1.5? :guard:

Yeah, idk why they were making such a fuss about me asking for the version number be updated to 1.5 sine the mod didn't break anything..

I mean hell, if the mod works, you don't even need to change anything, just ignore the version warning it won't hurt anything.

@Kitty: Do it yourself by finding the mod folder (2965544918), going into the "About" folder, opening the "About" file with whatever text editor (Notepad works fine), finding the line that says:

<supportedVersions>

And adding a line beneath that which says:

<li>1.5</li>

And then there's no more need complain about the modder not being available on demand.
