Ukraine, 2014. On February 20, 2014, Russia invaded Crimea, taking advantage of the unstable situation in Ukraine and the weakness of its army at the time, and in March illegally annexed it by holding an unrecognized pseudo-referendum. During the occupation of Crimea, 2 Ukrainian soldiers and 2 activists were killed, Russian propaganda declares the "bloodless seizure" of Crimea. In April 2014, in the east of Ukraine, in the Donbas region, in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, unknown armed men began to appear, who began to seize the administrations of cities and towns, and began to fight with pro-Ukrainian activists, after the appearance of such people near Slovyansk, they were sent to the place 2 employees of the Security Service of Ukraine on whom they opened fire, 1 employee died, 1 was injured (survived). The next day, Oleksandr Turchynov, the acting President of Ukraine after Yanukovych's escape after protests on the Maidan, announced the start of the Anti-Terrorist Operation in eastern Ukraine, which already in June 2014 turned into a full-fledged Russian-Ukrainian hybrid war. The unknown armed men turned out to be Russian saboteurs under the command of Russian officers Bezler and Girkin, who recruited local bandits as well. In August 2014, the Russian regular army invaded the territory of Donbass, launched an offensive and caused a major turning point in the war in its favor, but Ukraine still held out, on February 21, 2022, Russia recognized its puppet territorial entities of the DPR and LPR, an escalation began on the front line, On February 24, 2022, Russia, no longer hiding under the mask of a peacekeeping state, started a full-scale war against Ukraine, calling it a "special military operation", but Ukraine persisted even here. The campaign tells about the main events of the beginning of the war in 2014-2015, in the campaign you can see: episodes of the battles for Sloviansk, Ilovaisk, the legendary battle for the Donetsk airport and the battles near Debaltseve.
