Mod Description
Adds the first seven variants of the Centurion Gen 1 MBT. Should go without saying but this comp is ideal for Korean war, early cold war, and ww2 1946 " what if " scenarios. Originally designed as a heavy cruiser tank it doesn't offer much more in the way of armour then the M4 Sherman but allowed for substantially greater firepower. Most of the information I have obtained was from Wikipedia so expect mistakes, that said should you want to change anything all the scripts can be located in the tanks init box's.
Although every version starting from the Mk 5 should have 7.62mm MG's for the commander's cupola mounts, I haven't attached anything to the tanks to make it easy to copy and paste, as they are likely to be used in mass. And unlike with other comps such as my Super Sherman, each centurion version (besides the Mk 4) replaced the last and likely wouldn't be found working together so didn't need to be visually distinct from one another. That said, each variant is named so if you wish to attach something to the tank yourself just add this script the the init box of the object you wish to attach. [this, Name-of-tank] call BIS_fnc_attachToRelative; (Just replace Name-of-tank with the name of the tank)
FEATURES: Centurion Mk 1: Primary - 76.2mm / Secondary - 20mm Centurion Mk 2: Primary - 76.2mm / Secondary - 7.92mm Centurion Mk 3: Primary - 88mm / Secondary - 7.92mm Centurion Mk 4: Primary - 95mm / Secondary - 7.92mm Centurion Mk 5: Primary - 88mm / Secondary - 7.62mm Centurion Mk 5/1: Primary - 88mm / Secondary - 7.62mm / 12.7mm Centurion Mk 5/2: Primary - 105mm / Secondary - 7.62mm / 12.7mm (Note: As far as i know there is no 20pdr (84 mm) in arma 3 yet so i used the 88 instead & the 51mm mortar in the turret is not included. Also the Mk 2 should have a 20mm but for gameplay reasons i wanted each version to have a different armament.)

Questions & Answers
Q: Why isn't this "mod" showing in the launcher/ how to spawn it?
A: This isn't a "mod", its just a composition, and wont show in your launcher. You'll find this composition in the editor, once there you need to press the groups key or F2 then click on the composition icon. last pic in the slideshow above will show were that is.

Q: Why is it spawning all broken up/ floating?
A: You need to click off Terrain Level before spawning any comp, last pic above shows were to find it.

Q: What maps were used for the pics?
A: Stratis
From CUP: Chernarus
From Iron Front: Montherme / Berlin
From Unsung: Sea, Lam Dong

Q: Why stop at the Mk 5/2?
A: From the Mk 6 and onward each variant would be focused on small upgrades to increase performance but also would start to increase its armour. The Strv 102 that this comp is based on is the result of the Swedish applying to their Strv 81s exactly the same upgrade package that turned British Mk.5s into Mk.5/2s. Meaning it still mostly has its original armour, though it is possible to "increase its armour" with a HandleDamage event handler, i felt it was a good place to stop.

Q: Why use the 85mm instead of the 88mm to replace the 84mm?
A: Given the era these were largely used, and the conflicts they fought, I thought it best to avoid using soviet weapons & ammo.

Q: Why is IFA3 needed?
A: For the guns.

Known Bugs & Issues
- No 84mm
- No MG's for the commander's cupola mounts

Damn shame the *only* Centurion tank mod for this game is a stupid larp mod (and half the reason people even bother with said mod)

Where do you get the other tanks in the pictures from?

Welcome, ya i agree but imo Wikipedia is more general information about whatever subject, whereas tanks enc is specific so its ideal for anything tanks, and armored vehicles.

ahh perfect thanks! you would think with a tank that was so common and used by just about everyone that it would have a proper wiki page a mile long full info & statistics
