Frost Legion

Description
Ice themed foes to chill your game out.

10 Leader Units
23 Follower/Summoned Units
2 Sitreps
3 Chosen Strengths

Because this adds a truckload of units, I've scaled down their spawn frequency to try to avoid flooding the spawn tables (1/6th for followers, 1/3rd for leaders).
I've prepared a special discussion thread for spawn frequency feedback, so please share you experience is this regard there.

Frost Legion Units:
  • Have Ice Shields that reduce incoming damage if they aren't burning. Fire and Psionic damage can bypass this reduction.
  • Ice Shields will also shift shield to HP if damage bypasses the shield.
  • Take increased damage from fire and psionic.
  • Are immune to cold. Robotic or cybernetic units are also immune to poison.
  • Most other typical immunties removed - for example, Frost Vipers can be poisoned, and mechanical units can be burned.
  • Deal reduced damage compared to similar vanilla units, but also pierce some armour based on tier.
  • Inflict Bitterfrost with most offensive abilities - this restricts mobility and can result in your guys being frozen if hit repeatedly.
  • Units with stuns/etc have mostly had those removed, to unify the Legion with a single category of CC.
  • Unlike their vanilla counterparts, Alien Units tier up similar to ADVENT units.

Leader Units:
  • Are also immune to electrical and mental damage.
  • Shielding will slowly regenerate.
  • Tend to have extra abilities that make them more dangerous than similar vanilla units.
  • Appear exclusively leading pods filled with other frost units. Never as followers.
  • Grant double exp when killed.

Re: Requirements:
Primary Secondaries can be swapped out for True Primary Secondaries - It's being used to provide the animations for the Hitman's primary pistol.
Similarily, Bitterfrost Protocol is providing the assets for the Purifier's Cryolator.
Currently relies on AI and a couple items added by ABA. It's possible I might untangle the mod later, but not in any hurry to do so.
Weapon projectiles are primarily based on TLE mag tier weapons. I can't test what will happen if you're missing meshes/etc from the DLC.

Also, leverages quite a bit of assets ported from Chimera Squad - particularly Shrike weapons and units.

Hey, just noticed that both the Shrike Pistol and Shrike sidearm are treated as as the "sidearm" weopen category. Any particular reason for that to be the case? Or is this intentional?

I personally wanted to change the category to be properly recognised as pistols using iridars template master. But turns out your code only makes the templates on demand for the loottable so they seemingly can't be edited.

this mod is hella inconsistent with damage types...

the legion doesn't appear to take bonus damage from dragon rounds, is that intended?

I also do get inconsistent result with fire attacks depending the mod, chemthrower fire attack seem to do normal damage, and so do inferno grenade, even tho they both do burning,I ain't sure what should and shouldn't work anymore lol

Just to confirm that it is an inconsistency with *this mod* and not people not setting their damage flags correctly (looking at you, inferno grenades), I also tried fire attacks that weren't effective on the Frost Legion against the Lost to see if it triggered the 'Fire Vulnerability' popup. Fire spit does, flamethrowers (obviously) do, but only one of them works on the frost legion.

To be absolutely sure, I also tested it to make sure this wasn't some inherent wonkiness of resistance. Attacking a 'Fire Eater' MTF, an Elite Firestarter, an Inferno Viper and a Frost Andromedon in the same attack, the first three fully resist the attack as a fire attack, but the Frost Andromedon takes reduced shield damage as if it weren't one.
