Beskrivelse
This mod adds invisible body parts for every soldier customization slot.

There's other mods on the workshop that add invisible parts, but i figured it would make sense to have everything in one mod, instead of downloading separate invisible part mods that add their own things.

Before you ask - yes, this means IBPFA can be used to substitute other invisible part mods, including but not limited to:

The invisible heads in this pack require the Community Highlander to function without crashing, as they come totally invisible and the game doesn't like that for whatever reason.

(...but really, if you're modding XCOM, why wouldn't you have that installed already?)

You can also find this mod at Nexus Mods. [www.nexusmods.com]

FEATURES:
  • Invisible body parts for every slot, for both sexes, for all races, and for faction heroes.

CROSS MOD SUPPORT:

REQUIREMENTS / SUGGESTIONS:

KNOWN ISSUES:
  • N/A.

CHANGELOG:
VERSION 1.3 (4/5/2024)
  • v1.2's updated config files now come shipped with the mod.
  • The custom No Invisible Heads On Randoms config now comes separately.
  • The invisible heads can no longer be generated on non-soldier characters.
  • The invisible heads can be now be used with any race.
  • Made the Armory UI icon more distinct.
  • Removed the script file which displayed the armory UI icon. The UI icon is now inserted via the localization file.
  • Cooked the mod, not that it really matters that much. Drops the new size from 1.36 MB to under 600 KB.

This update may break some of your soldier customization if you never updated your configs to their 1.2 versions.

The 1.2 configs were originally an optional install as to not break the customized soldiers of some 100k people. If i were to have shipped them with the mod, all of those soldiers using the invisible parts from the pre-1.2 config would need to be fixed, but i figured it was a band-aid that was gonna have to come off at some point if i ever wanted to update the mod again, as users would have to keep re-applying the 1.2 config files every update and that's obviously not an ideal situation.

@hottt3 yep! As the description says, "IBPFA can be used to substitute other invisible part mods" and that includes acting as the dependency for mods that list one of the others as a requirement.

Thanks for your mod! Will it work as a dependency for other mods that require this mod https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1127014384 (Empty WOTC Deco Slots for XCOM Soldiers (+ Some other empty things))? thanks again.

How do I stop this mod from overriding and making changes whenever I get a research upgrade for the hero units, they just lose their current clothes. Most notably 2 mods I have downloaded depend on this being the halo mod and claus hero compendium. I'm pretty tired of having to change this back and forward again and again

Mods in AML that list this as it's dependency are not recognizing it. Also it won't let me open the steam page from the mod

Thanks for swift respond. Duke looks fine now.

Until a better solution can be found, i've given Duke a unique hidden head just for him.

It's likely using a custom CharacterTemplate that isn't the usual Soldier, ReaperSoldier, SkirmisherSoldier or TemplarSoldier, which are the 4 CharacterTemplates the invisible heads are allowed to be used on.

Since i have no clue if the bCanUseOnCivilian setting set to False actually prevents head parts from generating on civilians and other non-soldiers, i additionally restricted their use to only being allowed on the 4 base game soldier types, which works for this purpose, but creates problems in cases like this where a mod adds a unique type of character.

Not sure how i'll approach this, given that there's probably quite a few mods that add their own CharacterTemplates i'd have to cover, and i'd want to make 100% sure removing the CharacterTemplate restrictions wouldn't make the heads start appearing on every other non-soldier character.

I have a problem after this mod update to 1.3. I can't set invisible head on this mod Duke Nukem - Class & Character .

Back in 1.2 I can set the invisible head in race 0 just fine. But, after the mod updated to 1.3, I can't find invisible head at all even when select other race 1,2,3. However, the other soldier can be use just fine, it just the Duke character only
