Bina - check your NPCs actually have food requirements on, if they are off they will refuse and the text is a bug, or if its on theres a deeper error, if you can check your latest.txt or error log for whats happening inside the game when that error pops up it should be easy enough to fix if its mod compat issues (i wouldnt hold your breath for bug fixes or updates to the mod itself but there could be patches also)
( * ) - same thing with checking the secondary options around survivor needs (i cant remember if its the exact same section or not) but xp sharing should be a setting "somwhere" in there, there are also other mods that prevent npc mods writ-large from sharing xp if you cant find a setting id look into a addon option.
go to steam library right click zomboid > manage > browse files and scroll to "ProjectZomboid64" (or 32, or server)
scroll down to "vmArgs" and edit the default -xmx to around 6-8 (in megabytes)
heres how my setup for 960-ish mods including Superb Survivors and minimal/no lag.
you can copy paste this (but be aware the setting here is for 15gb allocated, if you have less total ram use my "google minecraft ram" stuff to help figure out your own numbers)
],
"vmArgs": [
"-Djava.awt.headless=true",
"-Xmx15072m",
"-Xms9072m",
"-Dzomboid.steam=1",
"-Dzomboid.znetlog=1",
"-Djava.library.path=win64/;.",
"-XX:-CreateCoredumpOnCrash",

So I'm constantly spammed with "Sneak +1" and so. :/
I tried with no other mod installed, it still does it.
