[1.0] Planetary Drill+

Description
Adds a new improved Planetary Drill. I created this extension-mod because of multiple requests. This drill is quite OP so I created a separate mod that you can use as an extension if you want more OP-ness. If you prefer a less powerful drill, just use my other mod Endgame Buildings.

Technical Info
  • Must be researched.
  • Mod is XML only and overwrites nothing. This is an extremely compatible mod.
  • Can safely be added to an existing game.
  • Before removing this mod from an existing game, please make sure that you destroyed all structures from this mod first, stop any research in progress from this mod and that you are not ordering the creation of new structures from this mod. Also make sure that you destroyed any minified structures from this mod.
  • Requires my other mod Endgame Buildings loaded BEFORE this mod.

New Structure
  • "Planetary Drills +" for mining unlimited steel, plasteel, uranium, jade & gold. Does NOT create infestations. Must be researched but unlike the regular planetary drill, this one uses the colonist- & robot MiningSpeed stat and is a tiny bit more expensive to build.

They are identical. Some players wanted the standalone version because they don't want the mod "Endgame Buildings".

so whats the difference between this one and the standalone? they both "just" have a drill ...?
NECEROS Jul 11, 2019 @ 3:03pm
I wouldn't worry about it, to be honest. With 150 mods it's impossible to figure out the conflicts sometimes. Great work!

Ohyeah one more thing. If you switch from this mod to the standalone one then your existing drills will be lost (since they are technically different structures) and will give a one-time error that you can ignore. You can just add them back using the dev console (just a one-time thing).

Here is the standalone version:
Standalone version
Please don't use this standalone version together with this mod "Planetary Drill+".

@Neceros:
It seems that some of your other mods (not made by me) also throw the same error. Very likely a mod conflict from another mod. These mods of mine are 100% XML & XPath and overwrite nothing. They are not 100% compatible with everything (because of XPath sometimes) but they are compatible with almost everything.

I tried downloading the mods you gave me but no errors with both load orders. I would probably have to check your EXACT list of mods and their load-order and see if I also get any errors and then eliminate mods to figure out the problematic mod and then I'd have to open that mod and try to find out what goes wrong.

@Squirting Elephant, so fun fact. I opened my rimworld now to get the errors log for you and they disappeared. The only thing that change for me was I removed Android Tiers and Humanoid mod. I think you have some small issue with humanoid or android tiers mod.

Errors, what errors? I used them without a single error in a long game. Could it be a mod conflict? Could you post me the errors please? Because I still have zero errors in my own game.

I'll make a standalone version.

I'm a fan of your mods. I love the Nuclear Power Station (even flirting with making my own standalone power version) so if you do it instead I won't have to and everyone will have it!

I love Endgame Buildings, but it produces errors, and the Mk2 things generally don't work for me. They just immediately disappear when built.

So yeah, this standalone and power standalone please! :D

@Selmephren
"Must be researched but unlike the regular planetary drill, this one uses the colonist- & robot MiningSpeed stat and it a tiny bit more expensive to build." Basically this one mines faster and also trains Mining.

@BiFur
If more players request a standalone then I'll make a standalone.

What is the difference between this one and the Planetary Drill in the other required mod?
