Description
Increases the base number of utility items a soldier can carry from 1 to 2. Does not affect bonus slots given by armor. Works with faction soldiers.

Changes can be configured in (Steam installation folder)\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1448532065\Config\XComGameData_CharacterStats.ini
Does not require highlander. Works mid-campaign.

I recommend pairing this mod with following mods:

Note: if you do not have highlander and activate this mod mid-campaign you will need to swap armor for the number of slots to update. If you do have the highlander, the number of slots will refresh when you open the armory. The update is done per-soldier regardless of how.

Compatibility: this mod is only an ini edit - should be compatible with everything

Thanks for this mod it seems to work well with most other mods that add ammo, grenade and armor slots as it only touches the one Utility setting. Doing a Legend Ironman playthrough right now with 121 mods and they all seem to be working well together at this point. Thank God for the team that did XCOM 2 Mod Launcher though! :xcom2grenadier:

@Stew [EGC] No, I didn't change sparks. I don't think they are supposed to be able to use utility items, hence they always have 0 slots - not even a locked one

Just out of interest, I was wondering how feasible it would be to penalise having tonnes of utility items by creating an 'empty' item that boosts mobility? This way, if you didn't want to have someone with a tonne of grenades, they could simply equip this item and receive a mobility boost.

Could this mod be used to add a Utility slot to Sparks as well as regular troopers?

@Muggins Reapers have 0 slots by default. This mod increases that to 1.
Is that what you are seeing? Or do Reapers still get 0 slots?

It seems like Reapers don't get the extra utility item for some reason. Is that intended?
