Diwako's ACE Ragdolling

Description
This mod is not compatible with ACE beginning with Version 3.13.0
Starting with ACE 3.13.0, the medical rewrite is has been added, using this mod and ACE at the same time might cause unforeseen issues with unconscious units!

Mod to make players and AI ragdoll instead of snapping to the revive animation when using ACE Medical

Description
Been playing with a group for a long time now and noticed that people immediately know if players are dead or not just according to the way they go down when shot. I kind of wanted to add some uncertainty back to the gameplay when using ace medical.

With this script players will not go into the ace death animation immediately when losing consciousness. Just like they are dying they ragdoll, but will snap to the ace death animation once the ragdolling is done, which pretty much means other players need to check the body to confirm death.
This is a restriction from ARMA’s engine so far. It is not possible to have a unit stay forever in ragdolled state.

This script can be used on players and AI as well. However, it is recommended to use this on players only.

This mod works in SP and MP.

Features

CBA settings
This mod supports CBA settings, so as mission maker or server owner you can set the values either in Eden editor or via config

Ragdolling
When active players and even AI ragdoll when they fall unconscious, they do snap into an animation after ragdolling.

Several animations used
In total 19 unconscious animations are used! 8 of them are custom made just for this mod.

Server only mode
Want to run the mod on server only, go ahead! When the server only mode checkbox is ticket, the mod only needs to run on your server and will execute the script to all connecting clients. One drawback, no custom animation support.


Requirements
In order to use this script, you need to run these mods alongside it:
-CBA
-ACE Medical

Installation and configuration:
Mount this mod and configure it in Eden editor. Any configuration will be done within Eden editor and in Settings -> Addon Options -> Diwako's ACE Ragdoll

Beginning with version 1.1 server only mode is available for the mod is avaiable. Script version has the option as well, but it is a rather useless thing there. That said, do not use server only mode when running the script version!
When server only mode is activated then only the server needs to run the mod, the drawback is that no custom animations will be supported!

Troubleshooting
In any event, that something goes wrong, you can disable ragdolling by setting the variable diwako_ragdoll_ragdolling to false on all machines.
Additionally for ingame error handling you can either run ACE's headbug fix or reapply unconsciousness and take it away again.

No. It needs the old ace medical. if you have ace no medical loaded, then you simply do not have any ace medical at all

@diwako So is it possible to replace Ace's unconsciousness animation with the unconsciousness animation in PIR? Without enabling PIR, I mean.

Not possible in arma. Even without these animations, the engine will force an animation after ragdolling what so ever.

So either have the same animation over and over or a few varied ones,

This is terrible origin, anyone knows how to remove these animations from ace? I want them use ragdoll only.

jonjonhoops17, this mod has been deprecated for years. Arma ragdolls being terrible is a base game feature though, this mod never changed the physics

Great but i dont like how the bodys break there leg trying to fall down
