A cute mod that aims to add new stuff to Road to 56.
This mod is also a little compilation of other mods but my part of work is nearly even to the work of the mod authors.
Im not only making here listed mods compatible with each other but also add new things and rework the mods.
Rt56 is required to play this mod, also I recommend the expanded resources mod to play with this mod because I made it compatible with this mod.

In this mod following mods are used, I credit most of the work to the mod authors :
The Ratte

DiDay's Common Units of WW II

In the moment the mod adds following things :
The "Ratte" a incredibly heavy german tank with artillery, anti-tank and anti-air version.
A new part in the industry tech tree : "Heavy Industry".
So called "Armored Infantry" which has hardness and consumes a new equipment type called "Armor Equipment". (It's infantry with body armor)
Units from the mod DiDay's Common Units of WWII. (Militia aren't fully implemented yet)
The Habbakuk as special unit for the usa and britain, it's an experimental aircraft carrier made out of ice. (researchable via focus tree)

Already known problems :
missing buffs for the armored infantry

I'm going to try and get the base version working first, but i'll look at it. No promises. And what unit? No promises, but I can still try (i mean, if i can pull off the crazyness, i'm going to try and integrate Gear Kreig. cause I -love- those realistic mechs)

If you haven't already, you might want to take a look at the most recent version of DiDay, since I think that tried to simplify some things (and also took out some of my favorite units *grumble grumble*).

Appreciate the pointers. That simplified my task a good bit, since I wasnt entirely sure what I was doing XD
But yeah. DiDay's will probably give me hold up, as will the stuff related to focuses.
And all that isnt even considering my IRL stuff. But my goal is to have this out not too long after Man the Guns is released and I get hands on it and updated R56. At least before they announce the next DLC after! XD

@Darktooper I also edited some files in Land Doctrine and Artillery so that the Ratte (AA,AT&Art) and the body armor get buffs. DiDay did the same with light infantry and also with motorized AA, AT and Artillery.

@Darktrooper119 If you want it to be updated, just search for my entries in the tech trees and put them in the tech trees of current version R56 (Ratte(Armor),body armor(Infantry) and Heavy Industry(Industry)), it should work if you do it right. I won't be updating this mod anymore. Difficult part will be messing around with DiDay's, I would recommend to remove most features and just leave the motorized artillery(as well as at and aa), light infantry and other simple parts. Also you need to put the Habbakuk focus from the old UK and US focus tree into the updated one.

I've taken to trying to bring this up to date myself. I dont really have any progress thus far, since I'm learning as I go by comparing vanilla HoI techmap with this and R56's. If I can even pull it off, it probably wont be until after Man The Guns drops and R56's update for that drops. But I am trying.
If nothing else, if you are just -dying- to have some of the stuff here, the mod does work... sorta. It overrides the infantry, armor, and naval trees of R56 (those are what i noticed changed in my test run just now). Curiously, artillery seemed untouched.

I know you aren't updating anymore, but it would be nice if just made it so that you can see the vanilla 3d tech models with this enabled.

Just a note, I know you said you probbaly won't work on this for a while but you might want to take a second look at things now that DiDay has been updated, if I had to guess there was probably a compatibility issue there causing your crashes.
