To my memory, capturing MOCX only works with the WOTC version.This is for the base game, non-WOTC, so you can't capture in this version.

Hi, I was able to balloon-out the special MOCX unit (the unit with large HP pool) at the MOCX HQ. However, no message indicating whether or not captured unit survived did not play. And at the barracks the captured unit was no show as well. :(

Is it not possible to capture the special MOCX unit?

Is this a known BUG?

@RealityMachina I ran into an interesting situation involving MOCX. I was on a mission to eliminate Advent in an area with the lost. Raider faction bandits were also present as was the Chosen Hunter. My squad suffered enough wounds that it was better to leave the scene but I decided to leave my reaper behind to do a little hunting. That is when things really got interesting. The hunter, after killing the remaining bandits then kill off MOCX operatives! He killed several of them.

Sorry one more thing, let's assume I destroy MOCX's HQ in that final mission and MOCX is gone now. If I open console and: MOCXSpawnFirstMission would that start their campaign all over and they would start appearing in missions again ?

Oh and if it's NOT possible to do this, then is it possible to simple, loop the missions ? In other words, once you destroy the MOCX in that final backup mission, a month or two pass then it starts the whole thing again. I can help out and make a patch if you just point me to the right direction. Obviously you'd have to be ok with this too. It's just you spend your whole campaign dreading these guys and then it's like aww they're gone and never coming back now... Something's missing lol

Hey how's it going sorry to bug, I've modded LW2 to make it very slow progress and very long and so MOCX gets kind of decimated early on I want them to last to the end. In order to do so I simply want to make it so that that 'critical missions' (offiste backup destruction etc) simply spawn much further away than they normally would. Which INI can I modify ? Is there a string somewhere that you've set that sets the minimum distance from base country or something ? Thanks so much I really, really love this mod

So far i fought about 10 mocx soldiers and none of them where from the cp and i have them all tagged with the can be dark vip and can be soldier am i suppose to do something to get them to pick from cp?

Is it possible to make it to where mocx uses the armors you select for characters in the character pool instead of their own armor? I actually put a lot of work into making in-joke characters for these guys and it's gonna go to waste otherwise.

MOCX mod is a extra enemy squad. Don't use on LW2. Cuz if you take a mission from 6-9 enemies, It will makes 10-13.

Exactly how difficult would it be to make it so that guys of yours who get captured, have a chance of showing up again as MOCX operatives? Tit for tat, them recruiting for your ranks, just as you do from theirs?

Not necessarily asking for this feature, just wondering how much I need to delude myself that something beautiful like this is possible.

Anyone else having problems triggering the MOCX specific missions? I already did the avatar research but I don't think I've encountered a MOCX specific mission (Offsite Backup Facility, MOCX Training Ground Raid, Sabotage MOCX HQ)

Dont know why you guys can't get it to work in LW2, works fine by me.
Still, I really wouldn't suggest running this mod with LW2, unless you're realllllly good at the game (LW2 not Vanilla), or else it's gonna f**k you up real fast.

Can't get this to run with LW2 even on a new campaign also for some odd reason this mod keeps any squad from leaving the infiltration screen.

Hey there, I recently added this mod and I'm loving it. I got only on question though.
Before I subscribed to this mod I looked it up on Youtube and on ChristopherOdd's recent playthrough I saw the MOCX operatives having normal names like your randomized soldiers, but when I saw them now once the units were only called "MOCX Ranger", "MOCX Gunner" and so on.
Why is this and how can you change the MOCX soldiers having normal names instead? :)

Nice mod. I added it to LW2 but now I only see the heads and weapons from these soldiers. The rest is innvisible. Some advice on this?

@RealityMachina I'm currently doing a campaign with mocx installed. I wanted to see what mocx would be like a full strength by letting their dark events slide but they never come up. Could I use the console to activate their dark events? What would I need to enter if I could? Very awesome mod btw!

Don't want load combat mission with last update.
If disable this mod in Mod Launcher then all is fine.
I have A Better Advent mod, many this is a reason for crashing

mocx is scary they show up with better weapons, more than twice the health of my soldiers with sometimes equal numbers and follow command pods around x_x great mod though, if you enjoy suffering like me

Does MOCX use the same classes that XCOM is using? Modded classes included? I see in the description it states that they use their own--would that be the generic vanilla classes?

All mocx soldiers show up invisible except heads and weapons. Think it might be a bug with the add arms and shoulders type mod. But even with this bug i can not remove this mod because it is just so friggin awesome and challenging.

After reading the description, comments here, and comments on the LW2 version, I'm a bit confused about how I can turn my character pool into MOCX soldiers WITHOUT making them also appear on my side (as recruits/mission rewards/rescuable VIPs). After also checking the ini files, if I understand correctly:

1. Tag a character as just "Can be Dark VIP"
2. Set Character Pool Usage to Character Pool Only (unless I'm mistaken and this mod doesn't rely on that option to draw from my pool)
3. In XComDarkXCom.ini, set SoldiersOnly to false and DarkVIPsOnly to true
4. Start new campaign, then cross my fingers


Is that right?
