I feel only the need to correct your quote. Neil Armstrong said "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind"
The "A" is often omitted when quoting, as the radio cut out briefly during the transmission, and it was missed. Armstrong latter corrected this statement after he landed. And when you consider the context in which it was used, it makes more sense after the correction.
There is water-ice in the bottom of the polar craters.
Please take a look at the wikipedia pages for more details:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geology_of_the_Moon
Also, Please take a look at the "Clementine Iron Map of the Moon." There are substantial regions of the Moon which are 14% iron by weight %.
(Other lunar prospecting maps show even larger concentrations of Iron.)
This website has some interesting data points too:

It would be great if you could update the ore-resources part of this mod.
Your Efforts are Appreciated. Thank You.
As for converting the heightmap, Paint + Bixorama. But I've heard Photoshop can do it too.
You made the movie happen :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KksqZbP00QA&lc=z13ihvljvmb4gzzho04cjrrrzmqcynkyekk0k
Well if aliens showed up, or if we actually colonized a planet, we'd start using latin words more commonly to refer to things, such as Earth being called "Terra" and the moon being called "Luna."
@ Saccaro you can place it at any distance. But the problem with scale in SE is that, unless using a speed mod, you're still bottlenecked with speed. I don't know the exact details but you need to be quite fast to make a there-and-back trip to the Moon in a few days (so less than an hour at 1/100th scale)
That feels very 40k. C:
