dont know either why it decides to randomly eat stuff and as far as comments and posts inside the bug reports discussion over the last few years go i am not alone with it.
i have done all steps i can do from a moduser side for trying to isolate and solve it but besides it happening in every world i open up with it after atleast 1 bars is a few dozen hours build with just bars in the world as long as the janitor has more selected than just grinding enemy blocks i could neither narrow it down further nor solve it.
there is definitly something going on as i tried some other versions of bars and i couldnt reproduce it with anyone i tried that got updated in the last 2 years.
though id also like to note down that i am mainly use aie in most worlds nowadays and bars just in a few settings and when i use it the rebalanced version of SKO85 where i dont have probs with bars owned by me eating random stuff i own.
doing a clean modredownload (deleting all files related to the mod i have probs with from the main and worlspecific storage folder and the workshopfolder of the steam library in which se is installed before triggering a redownload via resubbing and then waiting till its finished without touching it or doing anything else) is one of the first things i do when i have probs with mods, directly after a modconflictcheck and telling steam to check for file integrety.
so iam pretty sure i got the latest version.
random stuff owned by me getting eaten by a bars owned by me while the janitor is allowed to grind neutral stuff is also a problem i encountered so far only with the original bars since the survival kit is out and not with any of your versions.
somehow i doubt you read my comment fully as you told to turn the "grind unowned blocks" off while i have already stated that if it is on it is eating stuff it shouldnt which by itself should by basic logic already tell that its off due to its problems (which it has for years even before updates to this mod stopped), heck if you go far enough back you will find comments of me saying it and telling others having probs with it that turning this option off stops wheels beeing eaten.
besides that while testing around with just this version of bars and no other mod in the world this results in bars not doing anything at all besides consuming power.
@Abisius Xarvenius Carbensius - Set "Janitor grinds not owned blocks" to Off
for me it doesnt work properly even after making a clean redownload.
besides wheels, subgrids with no ownable block on it and random not ownable blocks beeing eaten if you allow the janitor to grind neutral stuff it doesnt do anything.

that isnt due to a mod conflcit its due to this version of bars beeing deadly out of date and already having had probs with grinding unowned subgrids like wheels beforehand while it was still maintained.
i suggest searching a still maintained version of bars and look if you have the same problem there or not and you have there a far better chance to get it fixed.
or you do the same as me and switch over to aie and have fun with robot helpers.
dont think this version of bars is getting an update anytime in the visible future, though there are still maintained versions of it out there.
this version of bars is atm deadly out of date and looks like Dummy08 is no longer around to update it, but there are others versions of bars out there stil beeing kept up to date or even aktivly beeing worked on.
i for my part switched over form bars to aie as i find that one far more fun.
I'm going to say doubtful considering this mod appears to no longer be updated. Though I do hope something similar appears. A lot of my builds are designed with this mod as a core component
id like to point out that you might want to look for a more up to date version of bars, there are multiple avaible inside the workshop.
besides that the wheels beeing eaten is due to se ownership handling and any subgrid without a ownable block (which wheels are) counting as kinda neutral and thus keeping the default janitor setting of janitoring unowned and neutral stuff results in them beeing eaten.
Also, the priority list is broken, it only grids furthers/nearest first.
Thank you again for this most excellent mod!
Yes! Near the end of the description you'll find the link to a script that helps automate a lot of that!
that would be the one that is the most up to date one i know of.

its most probably one of the probs having creeped up over time due to this version of bars beeing deadly out of date and as it looks not having an update anytime soon.
i suggest using a more up to date version of bars.
are you sure it was repairing and not disassembling? =P
I know the idea of the build and repair system is to make it easier to make things. But I think some kind of mod to serve as a material input to the build and repair machine would be cool. For example a nanobot factory that requires iron to build nanobots, and the nanobots only last for so long.
Some people will probably think this is a stupid idea which is fair enough but just wondering if there is anything like that out there?
