Same answer as for the Redux version (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/comments/2372036642) , although I haven't decompiled this one's code, but I've no good reason to suspect it would work any better. Hell, it probly won't work at all since it's been abandoned since 2017.
Indeed I haven’t done a lot since 2018. The time I have for projects like this is fairly limited.
So I’ll invest the little time I have in projects that are fun atm and don’t feel like a chore.
I stopped working on the refactor after realizing once again that Arma’s implementation is shitty af. (See this ticket [feedback.bistudio.com] I opened around the same time)
I hope to get a release ready in October (when I’m in between jobs), to finally get BOC on a technical level I don’t need to feel ashamed for anymore. But no promises. I have a lot planned for that month.
Considering the popularity of this mod, there will probably be some internal testing, after the release is ready so don’t expect a release in October if at all.
Are we talking about AI or players?
Use the 3DEN module :D

Part 1/2
First of all, nice avatar! Bears are always good, but nevertheless: No please don't do that.
Why would you want to reduce the number of mods?
It literally has no impact on game performance or anything.
Arma does not care where the mods come from. It makes a list of all loaded PBOs on start-up and after that it makes no difference if those came from one mod folder or from 100 different folders.
The best analogy I can come up with is the following:
It's like having a USB stick with 10 1MB files. It does not matter if you put each of the files into its own folder or have them in the root directory of your USB stick. The stick will have 10MB of files either way.
I don't get where this misconception is coming from.
The only thing I can kind of understand is, that it is easier to just load one mod in the Arma Launcher instead of twenty. I get that the implementation of collections is way shittier than it could be.
But there is a solution if you want ease of use just make a own mod (with absolutely no content) and add BackpackOnChest - and all mods you want - as required items. Then your users just have to load that mod and the launcher will load all the other mods automatically.
Other than that, there are only downsides to reuploading the mod. For you and the author.
The author does not get credit anymore. Even if you add them to your steam page, there is no indication in-game anymore.
And you must manually keep the mod up to date, which is more work than it could be.
If you fail to keep it up to date there may be bug reports, which actually aren’t bugs anymore, but just fucktards using an outdated version, which is annoying af (happened to me more than once)
Thank you :D I don't get the question either. There are literally no benifits gained from packing addons from multiple mods into one.
@Satan
Like I said above... I don't get it, but whatever floats your boat. I don't get why repacking it would mean "quicker access" but whatever man.
@TESLA.HUN
This isssue is known. Tbh my priorities are elsewhere at the moment and therefore do not have the time to work on this mod. I'll hope to get around to finishing the full rewrite in between jobs this October, but I can't and won't promise anything.
When you put them on your chest with a weapon in them, and put them back on your back, the gun inside the gunbag will disappear, since the gun is not actually in the inventory of the bag.
I am really sorry for not explaining it properly.
I asked for a repack to practice on my little practice server.
I requested a repack for quick access. I'm really sorry.
Is it safe to assume that this mod is incompatible with ACRE?
Will there come a fix for the "ACE Gunbag compability" Bug? I saw it is on "invalid", whatever that might say?
It will be listed as private not public and of course will credit the author(s)
Thank you in advance! This is purely so we can collate smaller mods into 1 mod
Thank you in advance!
You can do this by running "[_this] call zade_boc_fnc_actionOnBack" in the unit's init field. Take a look at the wiki on the Github for more info. As a word of warning, the name of the function will change when the rewrite is complete but it should be backwards compatible with just a warning in your log file to update the function.
it will be posted on the steamworkshop if you have any qeustions you can add me
This is being worked on :)
Only via script, but there is no implemention in the command menu or so. But if you want to, you could easily add an ACE interaction to AI teammates.
Thank you for a great mod!
Sorry, but this mod does NOT support the ACE arsenal.
