Amazing mod, thank you! I am sure it will help remind me of the upgrades I need and of which units I can choose for the current civ.
But is it true that the two Barracks upgrades are not shown here? I just tried a random map for testing and got Portuguese, they have all Blacksmith upgrades but not Squires at the Barracks. It doesn't show Squires (or Tracking) in-game or on the screenshots you added to the mod.

To follow up on @Rocky Jones point, Tech Tree UI is unfortunately not compatible with Original Resource Icons :steamfacepalm: an update would be super appreciated!

As for me, the problem was incompatibility with the Original Resource Icons mod (by Sir Jasper Trund).

A great mod. It would be perfect if the icons would be bigger or clearer though. I'm having hard time recognizing some of them, but maybe I'm just blind.

could you add onto this one or create another that restricts the entire hud to 1920 resolution or something simmilar. i am using your mod on a 3 screen 5760 x 1080 setup and would really like the hud to be restricted to the middle screen! thank you!

While I totally understand why you bleached and dimmed it so that it's not too busy or invasive looking, I have to say that it went too far, and I spend about 5 or 6 seconds looking at it with difficulty to figure it out. I think it should still be "bleached" or "faded" but only half as much. you've decreased saturation AND contrast. I suggest decreasing saturation mostly but not contrast, or very little on contrast.

Still, I want to say it's quite useful in random civ games still and I appreciate it and use it. Thank you!

ok I see how you did it. I'm kind of surprised that importing the image with the AoE2 palette works out, given that the slp clearly uses a different palette. Well if it works I'm not complaining :D

@TriRem: Forgot to mention: in order to obtain the civ symbol and light brown background I took screenshots of each civ in-game and coppied :) It's quite a bit of work

@TriRem : I used TurtelPack 1.6. You are correct - HD UI slp files don't have the same palette as other slps, and they appear messed up in Turtle Pack. I did experimenting and figured that: the UI slp containes images for various parts of the UI (top bar, resource bar, bottom left box, minimap box, and bottom centre panel etc.) Initially I extracted each of the images in one UI slp, replaced them with some random photoshop image, converted it to aoe2 palette and then tested in-game to see which part of the UI is affected. I figured that the 3rd last image is the civ symbol which I edited for this mod. So basically the question is which part of the UI you exactly want to edit, find that image in the slp and replace it with yours - just make sure it has ok dimensions. You can open one of the slp files in this mod and go see that I only replaced the 3rd last image nad the replaced one appears correctly in Turtle Pack, for whatever reason.

I have a question, how did you edit the UI ? When I open the slp files with Turtle Pack the colors are messed up, I guess I am using the wrong palette.

Keep up the good work, it's a fantastic idea and it helps A LOT when playing random.

@Rundelhaus
I don't share this opinion about eco tech, I think it's better to keep it clean without too many informations.
Especially since I don't think people change their strategy according to the eco techs.

For shipwright and monastery techs, why not. (I would add printing, but clearly not herbal medicine)
Towers are never used...that's why he didn't even put keep in the diagram, so no need for arrowslits.

Completly agree with the sea-units things though.

@Pyroptere: Thanks for pointing out - I ll update the Goth tech tree. I have corrected other ones that other's have commented on. Let me know if you find anymore. One clarification: for siege, it only shows if they have the final siege weapon upgrade (i.e Saracens don't get heavy scorpion, so it doesn't show scorpions at all; Indians don't get Siege Rams, so it doesn't show rams at all).
